What's Inside the Beautiful Bungalows at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, in Saint Lucia
Curator’s statement

I was invited to spend a week at the beautiful Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, in Saint Lucia. At the most romantic island escape, from airport pickup to drop off, my complimentary personal butler, and the entire staff went above and beyond making me feel like royalty the entire duration of my visit. I would highly recommend Sugar Beach to my clients.

The resort is located on the westward side of the island, directly in a cove between the islands well-known Pitons, making it an ideal spot for stunning sunsets. Sugar Beach is the site of an 18th-century sugar plantation surrounded by over 100 acres of luscious rainforest. You'll be sure to find your relaxing hideaway in one of the new beach-front bungalows, mountain cottages, or luxury suites. What makes the resort so amazing is the staff. We were greeted with warm smiles and refreshing coconuts, then transported by boat to the resort. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and escorted to our cottage by our complimentary personal butler for the week ahead.

Now the most important question. What do the rooms look like? You walk up to the beautiful, homey cottage and see your very own pool surrounded by the nature of the rainforest. Making lounging by the pool private and relaxing. The french doors open up to the pristine and spacious living area with flat-screen TV, drinks and snacks, and a welcome gift from our butler. Our cottage featured a master suite and bathroom with a walk-in closet, and an additional second full bathroom adjacent to the living area. The entire cottage was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It was the perfect escape to relax for the week.

Welcome amenity

Sugar Beach takes pride in its beautiful surroundings of the property; you will never get bored with the resort's many activities and amenities. We spent days snorkeling in the Caribbean ocean, walking the private white sand beaches, hiking the Grand Pitons, indulging in spa treatments at the Rainforest Spa, and sipping on cocktails by the pool. Even just strolling around the property and admiring the beauty of nature reconnects and relaxes your soul. I loved every minute of my stay here. Since my time at Sugar Beach, both the fine-dining and beach-front restaurants have been remodeled and upgraded. We ate at both locations every day. With a delicious and rotating menu, we never ate the same thing twice. Saint Lucia is known for their chocolate, so make sure you get dessert at every meal. You will thank me later!
