We flew into Seattle the evening before our Cunard cruise to Alaska. We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance to many of the cruise ship ports.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the front desk clerk and were immediately upgraded to a waterfront room with a fireplace—it was beautiful. The fireplace was a welcomed addition as it was a bit chilly on this evening.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and feels like a ski lodge with lots of wood finishes along with some bears and antlers used as decor. This hotel also had a music theme. Guitars and vinyl record players can be checked out for personal use.

Hotel lobby

We only had a short amount of time to spend, but we made the most of it starting with dinner the evening we arrived. The fresh seafood at their onsite restaurant (The Six Seven Restaurant) was excellent. We enjoyed fish and chips along with great service and a nightcap. There were stunning views of the Elliott Bay and we absolutely loved the rustic mountain/lodge decor.

Seattle waterfront

Through the hotel we were able to book a private car transfer from the airport to the hotel, from the cruise port to the airport, and some shopping while in Seattle. The driver was on time, super friendly and shared with us about his 29 years as a Seattle resident.

The next morning, we stopped by “The Brim,” the Edgewater hotel coffee and gift shop, where we found so many fun, unique gifts. The coffee was great and we really enjoyed the lavender tea. You must try it! From there, we walked to the original Starbucks for coffee and a souvenir coffee mug.

Fresh flowers at the Public Market

From there, we found ourselves at the famous Public Market. So fun watching the fish mongers throw fish and the assortment of products available was terrific!

Fresh seafood lunch at Public Market

We found a place to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch of giant fried prawns. It was delish! As we walked back to our driver to be taken to the cruise port, we wished we had more time and talked about a return trip. Such a great experience.
