Boccalino offers one of the best weekday lunch values among Seoul's five-star hotels, with standout dishes like the slow-cooked octopus and an authentic Roman-style carbonara. Akira Back brings a completely different atmosphere with its soaring ceilings, dramatic glass skylight, and inventive Korean-Japanese cuisine, where the signature Tuna Pizza has earned its reputation for good reason. Charles H., the hotel's Prohibition-era-inspired speakeasy, remains one of the few cocktail bars in Seoul that I recommend without hesitation. Happy hour from 5–8 p.m. also makes it surprisingly approachable, even for travelers who might not normally visit a luxury hotel bar.

If palace views are important to you, request a Palace View room when booking. Looking out over Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of the most memorable experiences this hotel offers, and not every room has that perspective.
