The Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows is nestled on 23 wonderfully kept private acres below the majestic Camelback Mountain. The Andaz Scottsdale stands as a luxurious resort hotel within a desert sanctuary. The resort's design draws inspiration from the mid-century modern aesthetic that was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. This style is characterized by clean, simple lines, and a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

A poolside area during the daytime

The bungalow-style guest rooms and suites at the Andaz Scottsdale Resort, with their floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to private terraces, effortlessly merge the indoors with the stunning desert landscape beyond. This design not only brings the beauty of Arizona inside but also exemplifies the resort’s harmonious blend of mid-century modern design, local artistry, and the natural world. Offering an array of luxurious accommodation options, the resort is home to 183 bungalow-style guest rooms and suites, each curated to ensure a stay that is both unique and comfortable. Having experienced the Sonoran Suite, Saarinen Studio Cabana Suite, and Eames Resort King room ourselves, I can attest to the thoughtful design and comfort offered. The Saarinen Studio Suite Cabana, in particular, is unique with its direct connection to a pool cabana from the back of the studio.

Food on a brown plate

The resort offers a trio of inviting dining options. Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen stands out with its creative use of seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean influences. For those seeking a laid-back vibe, the Turquoise Pool Bar provides casual poolside fare. Additionally, guests can take advantage of room service, ideal for savoring breakfast on their patio while welcoming the sunrise over the Sonoran Desert.

Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows is renowned for its unique amenities. One of the most notable is its Artist in Residence program. This program allows guests to interact with local artists, learn about their work, and even participate in art-making workshops. This offers a unique cultural experience that goes beyond the typical resort stay. The resort also boasts a world-class spa, the Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary. This wellness center offers personalized treatments using locally sourced ingredients, providing guests with a unique and holistic wellness experience.

Pool and poolside view

Guests at this Scottsdale Resort can immerse themselves in a plethora of activities tailored to enhance their stay. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at nearby premier courses, while those seeking relaxation can indulge in personalized treatments at the Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary or unwind by the pool. The resort also offers yoga and fitness classes, culinary experiences at its restaurant, and unique opportunities like exploring the stunning desert landscape with guided hiking or biking tours. One of the highlights of our stay was gathering with friends around the fire and enjoying complimentary s'mores courtesy of the Guest House as we spoke about the day’s adventures.
