Insider’s Guide to the MSC World America Yacht Club: A Ship-Within-a-Ship Luxury Experience

As MSC Cruises’ newest and largest ship, MSC World America takes the cruise experience to amazing new heights. Guests in the Yacht Club enjoy full access to the ship’s exciting entertainment, dining, and amenities, plus a world of exclusive privileges, privacy, and five-star service unlike anything else at sea.

The MSC Yacht Club is a “ship within a ship,” or a private retreat for just 152 suites out of more than 2,600 onboard. Think of it as a boutique luxury hotel with its own restaurant, lounge, pool deck, and staff dedicated to making every moment effortless.

From the moment we arrived, the difference was clear. We were greeted curbside, whisked through our own check-in line, and personally escorted onboard with a glass of champagne in hand. Our butler welcomed us warmly, customized our in-suite mini-fridge to our favorite drinks, and somehow even got us seats at sold-out entertainment shows!

Breakfasts were delivered to our suite each morning, complete with fresh coffee enjoyed on our private balcony. This quickly became one of my favorite parts of each day.

The Top Sail Lounge is where we spent many relaxing moments, enjoying panoramic views, live music, and attentive service. One evening, I walked up to the bar to order a drink, only to be gently told, “Please, sit down—we’ll come to you.” Moments later, our server arrived with our order and a smile. It’s that kind of thoughtful service that makes the Yacht Club feel so special.

Dining was certainly another highlight! The Yacht Club Restaurant offers fine dining without the fuss of fixed times, and you dine when you’re ready. Every dish was beautifully prepared and paired perfectly with sommelier-selected wines (if wanted).

We also loved the Yacht Club Grill, perfect for poolside lunches (don’t miss the lobster roll!), and La Brasserie, which transforms in the evenings into a relaxed, family-style restaurant exclusively for Yacht Club guests.

The private pool and sun deck offer a peaceful escape from the bustle of the main ship. Attendants deliver drinks and snacks directly to your lounger, and even though the pool was on the smaller side, the quiet and exclusivity make it feel indulgent.

Our stop at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ private Bahamian island, was truly unforgettable. Yacht Club guests enjoy their own beach, bar, and the stunning Ocean House Restaurant, now serving an updated menu.

When we were first seated for lunch, our table was a bit far from the water, which was perfectly fine by us. But then one of the staff members smiled and said, “Do you like your table?” Before we could answer, he laughed, “No, you don’t. Follow me.” He led us to a table right beside the turquoise water, where we enjoyed the most incredible meal with a view. That small act of kindness summed up the Yacht Club experience perfectly: always going the extra mile to make guests feel special!
