Curator’s statement
The Grand Bohemian Charlotte represents what I value most in a hotel that delivers experience, personality, and purpose, not just luxury. Its prime Uptown location paired with an art-forward, boutique design makes every stay feel intentional and memorable. I appreciate how seamlessly it works for both business and leisure travelers, while still offering distinctive dining and social spaces that elevate the overall visit. It’s a property I trust because it consistently turns a Charlotte stay into something that feels thoughtfully curated rather than ordinary.

From the moment you walk in, the hotel makes a strong first impression. Its Uptown location is a major selling point for my clients—everything from the Charlotte Convention Center and Truist Field to museums, theaters, and dining is within easy walking distance. For both business and leisure travelers, that convenience is hard to beat.

King room
What really sets the Grand Bohemian apart is its art-forward, boutique personality. The design feels curated and intentional, almost like staying inside a private gallery. I often recommend this hotel to clients who want something memorable and stylish rather than a traditional, predictable luxury stay.

The guest rooms are elegant and comfortable, with plush bedding and thoughtful details. While some rooms are slightly smaller than those in larger luxury hotels, the design and comfort make up for it. For clients who want extra perks, I suggest upgrading to higher-level rooms with access to the Bohemian Elite Lounge, which adds real value to the stay.

King bathroom
Dining is one of the hotel’s strongest features. Mico, the on-site restaurant, is excellent for both special occasions and business dinners, offering creative South American-inspired cuisine. The Búho Rooftop Bar is a favorite recommendation of mine—the city views alone make it worth the visit, especially at sunset. The on-site Starbucks is also a practical bonus for early mornings.
For group travel, meetings, or weddings, I find the Grand Bohemian to be a solid option. The event spaces are versatile, well-designed, and supported by professional staff, which makes planning much smoother for my clients.
When it comes to the Poseidon Spa, I make sure to set realistic expectations. The spa itself is quite small and does not include a sauna, steam room, or dedicated waiting/lounge area, which many luxury travelers expect. While the services are fine, the overall spa experience feels limited. If I were rating the spa on its own, I would give it a 3 out of 5. For clients seeking a full spa retreat experience, I typically recommend pairing their stay with an off-site spa option.
That said, the fitness center is well equipped, and I do appreciate that the hotel is pet-friendly, which is increasingly important for many of my clients.

Complimentary champagne and city view at Poseidon Spa
Overall, I confidently recommend the Grand Bohemian Charlotte to clients who value style, location, and experience. It’s an excellent choice for couples, business travelers, and anyone who wants their stay in Charlotte to feel unique and elevated rather than ordinary.
