Day 1: Arrive & acclimate

I recommend arranging transportation through your hotel or a private company ahead of time. I learned this the hard way and ended up paying someone to use their cell phone. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and consider taking a nap or exploring the premises.
If you haven’t planned any excursions yet, you can consult the concierge, browse online, or even reach out to your travel advisor via email or text. Grab a bite to eat, unwind by the pool, or venture into the nearby area to discover local restaurants you’d like to try today or on another occasion, as well as shops you might want to visit.
Day 2: Antigua exploration

Consider taking a day trip to Antigua, with overnight options also available. This stunning destination is bursting with vibrant colors and exudes an old-world Spanish charm. I opted for a guided tour and was fortunate enough to enjoy a private experience, as I was the only participant. During our exploration of Antigua, I delved into its rich history and savored a delicious buffet lunch at a local hotel.
Day 3: Guatemala City

Plaza Fontabella
You have the option to choose between a private tour or a group trip by bus to discover Guatemala City. The driver will guide you through the city, sharing insights about its history.
Visit the gated community where the affluent reside.
Explore the city center, courthouse, and art museum.
Check out the local mall and the mini “Eiffel Tower.”
Whether you’re traveling solo and want to connect with new people, or you’re a history enthusiast seeking to satisfy your curiosity, this tour is an excellent choice.
Need to know
Many residents and locals speak English. Don’t let a perceived language barrier stop you from exploring this great country!
