  • Uhuru Gardens - A serene park commemorating Kenya's independence with lush greenery and monuments.

  • Marikiti Market - Bustling local market known for vibrant fabrics, fresh produce and authentic Kenyan spices & teas.

  • Fort Jesus - A historic Portuguese fort offering a glimpse into the colonial history of Mombasa with museum exhibits.

  • Old Town - A charming and humble neighborhood with intricately carved wooden doors and winding streets, reflecting centuries of Swahili culture.

  • Haller Park - A rehabilitated ecological haven where you can walk among giraffes, antelopes and tortoises in natural settings. You can feed a giraffe!

Eat lunch at Yul's on the beachfront and serving the freshest seafood you could want. Truly there is something for every eater.

Need to know

If you have the time, consider heading to Tiwi or Diani Beach for a few days to relax and unwind. I recommend staying there and then taking a day trip into Mombasa.
