Curator’s statement
Iceland is one of those places that completely takes your breath away. From powerful waterfalls and black sand beaches to quiet moments soaking in a hot spring, it feels like nature at its most raw and beautiful. It reminded me how good it feels to slow down, breathe in fresh air, and be fully present in a place that feels untouched by time.

Day 1: Arrive in Reykjavík

Land in Iceland and pick up your rental car for the week. Check into the Reykjavík EDITION, a sleek and luxurious base perfectly located near the Old Harbor. Spend the afternoon wandering the city, visiting Hallgrímskirkja Church for panoramic views, strolling along Laugavegur Street’s shops and cafés, and stopping by Harpa Concert Hall for a photo-worthy architectural moment.
In the afternoon, head out on a whale-watching excursion from the harbor, where minke whales, humpbacks, and puffins are often spotted. Back at the EDITION, enjoy cocktails at the rooftop bar before heading out to explore Reykjavík’s lively nightlife.
Day 2: The Golden Circle

Wake up early for one of Iceland’s most iconic day trips, the Golden Circle. Begin at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Continue to the powerful Gullfoss Waterfall, then watch Iceland’s natural energy at work at the Geysir geothermal area, where Strokkur erupts every few minutes. End your day with a stop at Kerið Crater, a vibrant red volcanic caldera filled with turquoise water, especially striking at sunset. Return to Reykjavík for dinner.
Day 3: South Coast adventure

Another early start for a full-day journey along Iceland’s southern coast, home to some of the country’s most photographed landmarks. Begin at Seljalandsfoss, where you can walk behind the waterfall’s misty curtain, then continue to Skógafoss, a thundering 200-foot cascade that often displays rainbows on sunny days.
Drive past glacier-topped volcanoes toward the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, known for its dramatic basalt columns and sea stacks. The landscapes along this route are unforgettable for photography. Return to Reykjavík in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner.
Day 4: Into nature at ION Adventure Hotel

Depart Reykjavík and drive toward the ION Adventure Hotel, set among lava fields and mountains near Thingvellir. After check-in, head out for a horseback ride through Reykjadalur (Hot Spring Valley), a scenic area filled with steaming vents and natural pools. Return to the hotel for dinner overlooking the volcanic plains, and if you are lucky, end the night watching the Northern Lights dance across the sky right from your room.
Day 5: Snowmobiling on Langjökull Glacier

Today’s adventure begins with a super-truck ride from Skjól Basecamp to the edge of Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second-largest. Once geared up with helmets and insulated overalls, follow your guide onto the glacier for an unforgettable hour-long snowmobile adventure. On clear days, you can see across the highlands to Eiríksjökull, Hofsjökull, and the Kerlingafjöll mountains in the distance. It is a thrilling way to experience Iceland’s frozen wilderness before returning to your hotel for a cozy evening.
Day 6-7: Relax at The Retreat at Blue Lagoon

End your Iceland journey in pure luxury at The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon. Soak in the private lagoon surrounded by lava fields, unwind with the Blue Lagoon’s signature silica face masks, and enjoy access to exclusive spa rituals carved into volcanic rock. Spend your final days indulging in slow mornings, scenic yoga sessions, and gourmet dining at Moss Restaurant. It is the perfect way to recharge after your week of adventure. You will leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of a return trip!
Need to know
Remember! In the summer months, the sun barely sets in Iceland, meaning it stays bright well past midnight. It’s the perfect time to take advantage of the endless daylight for exploring and sightseeing, but bring an eye mask to sleep at night.
