Things to do in Mexico City

Xochimilco Canals
For vintage lovers, local designers, and unique finds:
Bunker Bazar: A cool, under-the-radar spot with a mix of vintage pieces, streetwear, and emerging local designers.
El Bazar Sábado: A weekend staple filled with handcrafted goods, art, and traditional pieces; perfect for a more cultural shopping experience.
Bazar Resiliente: A thoughtfully curated market highlighting independent brands, sustainable fashion, and creative talent.
Xolo Vintage: A go-to for well-curated vintage with standout pieces that feel both timeless and fashion-forward.
Places to eat & drink in Mexico City

Rumor: Go for the guava matcha. Also doubles as a super cute boutique.
Panadería Rosetta: Famous for a reason. Get the guava roll and tomato basil focaccia.
Gala Panadería: A speakeasy-style bakery. The monkey bread is incredible!
Hiya Wine Bar: Truly top-tier. Order the skewers, burger, and handrolls. Looks low-key from outside, but head inside for the hidden, vibey space.
Meramiyah: Cozy Palestinian spot with a very welcoming owner.
Shoma Hand Roll: Some of the best seared salmon nigiri I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to Japan!
Tacos Atarantados: Amazing salsas! My favorite taco stop.
La Once Mil Taquería: Beef trompo with cheese is unreal.
Hule: Horchata cold brew and a unique combo of listening room, record shop, and brunch spot.
Toledo Rooftop: Great views with equally great food.
Hanky Panky: Consistently ranked among the World’s 50 Best Bars! Reservations highly recommended.
Handshake Speakeasy: Top-ranked bar in the world. Secured the #1 spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars list for 2024 and 2025. Reservations highly recommended.
Need to know
Neighborhoods to stay/explore: Roma Norte, Condesa, and Polanco are your best bets.
Reservations matter: Many top restaurants and bars book out in advance—plan ahead when possible.
Cash is helpful: While most places take cards, smaller spots (especially taco stands) may not.
Ubers are easy and affordable: Skip renting a car.
Timing is everything: Locals eat late—dinner reservations around 8–10 p.m. are typical.
Altitude adjustment: CDMX sits high (~7,300 ft), so take it easy your first day and stay hydrated.
