Where to stay

Day 1: Exploring Jackson Hole

If arriving from a morning flight or waking up after getting in late, I recommend walking around town on your first full day in Jackson.

Pick up a coffee and a bite to eat at Persephone and explore the little shops. The town is quite small, so it is easy to do this in a few hours.

After getting a feel for the location, head back to your hotel to unwind and prepare for a spa treatment (booked in advance) over at the Rusty Parrot Lodge. I suggest a later booking, as you will feel very relaxed and be lathered in oil, so you won’t want to have any plans afterward.

Order takeout from Hand Fire Pizza or Liberty Burger and call it a night!

Day 2: Choose your adventure

After a relaxing night, it’s time to explore!

Grab a caffeine boost from Cowboy Coffee and choose your adventure. You can either head up to Teton Village, where you can access all the ski trails, take a wildlife tour to see moose, elk, and bison, or set off to capture photos with amazing backdrops.

If you opt for pictures, go to Mormon Row for the famous barn, Schwabacher Landing for reflections of the Tetons in the water, Snake River Overlook, and Jenny Lake for beautiful water views.

Once back into Jackson Hole, head to Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for a night of dancing and good times.

Day 3: Perfect send-off

After potentially a long night, grab a bagel from Pearl Street Bagels and a coffee from Snake River Roasting. Once your energy has lifted, you can try doing activities you didn’t get to the day before or spend more time in town.

If looking for some casual shopping, Perennial West, Womenfolk, Diamond Cross Ranch, and Made are popular spots within walking distance to each other.

If your schedule allows, a nice dinner to end the trip is the best way to end on a high note! Try Glorietta for Italian, Kingsushi, Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse, Bin22 for tapas, or Gather for elevated American.

Need to know

If you visit in winter, some scenic spots may be closed. If visiting in spring or summer, you could also spend a day in the national park.

If you are just planning to stay in Jackson Hole and Teton Village, you don’t need a car and can just rely on Uber. If you want to venture out to the scenic spots or the national park, then you may want your own transportation.
