Curator’s statement
Condé Nast Traveler recently featured Loudoun County in a list of top girls' trip destinations. As a LoCo local, I feel it’s only right for me to tell you about all of my favorite places. Loudoun County is known for its wineries, and what wonderful wineries they are!

Day 1: Day trip to Middleburg

Middleburg is a town in Virginia’s wine country that looks almost frozen in time. Known as the “Nation's Horse and Hunt Capital,” this small town—with its picturesque, tree-lined streets—has a population of only 673. The town often attracts celebrities and is known for its Southern charm and equestrian culture. Wander the streets with an ice cream cone in hand, dine on exquisite food, or have a spa day at the Salamander.
Day 2: Winery hopping

No trip to LoCo is complete without a winery day. My personal favorites are Cana Vineyard, Fleetwood Farms, Lark Brewing Co (beer and wine), Bear Chase Brewing (also has wine and a gorgeous view), and Bluemont Vineyards (I was married here and can attest to the incredible view).
Day 3: Night trip to DC

For a more lively atmosphere, check out DC. There are so many speakeasies and nightclubs here. Try Mayflower or Zebbies for electronic dance music, or STFU, Code Red, Never Looked Better, or Allegory for a speakeasy. At Allegory, you'll find more of DC's upper class—the lawyers and politicians.
Need to know
Places to eat
Cooper's Hawk, Ashburn: This is my personal favorite. Cooper's Hawk offers classics like seafood, pasta, and chopped salads. The complimentary pretzel bread is a little too delicious. Locals rave about their Brussels sprouts.
Eddie Merlot's, Ashburn: High-end steakhouse. You can find Commanders players here and their wives and girlfriends.
Ahso, Ashburn: Small bites and delicious cocktails. Come here with the girlies for a great happy hour experience.
Red Fox Inn & Tavern, Middleburg: Seasonal dining experiences in an intimate setting. Enjoy a four-course dinner experience and caviar and champagne.
Scruffy’s Ice Cream Parlor, Middleburg: A cute little ice cream parlor with a walk-up window
Lightfoot, Leesburg: Located in the historic downtown area in the restored People's National building.
Shoe’s Cup & Cork, Leesburg: Also located in the historic downtown area, Shoe’s Cup & Cork is a traditional brasserie serving brunch, dinner, local beers, craft coffees, and wine.
Loud’n Roasted: A new cozy coffee shop in Ashburn offering craft coffee flights. My go-to is the large iced vanilla latte with Nutella cold foam. I’m here at least four days a week.
For your winery day, keep in mind it will be difficult to find an Uber back to your hotel due to the remote locations of most of the wineries. But this isn't a problem for you because you have me. I can easily arrange a car service for you.
