Curator’s statement

Pittsburgh, PA is a historic city that is also home to a modern NFL stadium. Whether you're a fan from Seattle, Boston, Baltimore or Las Vegas (these teams are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers during 2022-2023 NFL season), or a fan of another NFL team, be sure to explore the city before and/or after the game. This guide outlines my favorite things to do and is specifically for NFL fans who want to enjoy a fun football weekend — perfect for a guy's weekend or family getaway!

When in the city — maybe before or after a Steelers game — be sure to check out some of the great tours Pittsburgh has to offer. A few of my favorites are the Essential Pittsburgh Experience Tour, the Whiskey Walking Tour and the Black and Ghost Tour.

Another great game day activity is an Acrisure Stadium tour. Open since 2001, Acrisure Stadium has been home to the Pittsburgh Steelers and you can even enjoy a $10 tour of the stadium the day before the game.

Day Trips from Pittsburgh

If you have an extra day to explore the area, I highly recommend making the trip to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob for tours of homes built by Frank Lloyd Wright.
