Day 1: Arrival & countryside romance

Hotel Ranga
Arrive in Iceland and begin your honeymoon with a scenic drive into the countryside.
Enjoy dinner at Friðheimar (Tomato Farm). This is a cozy and memorable first-night experience dining inside a greenhouse surrounded by fresh tomato plants—simple, unique, and full of flavor.
Enjoy your stay at Hotel Rangá. Unwind from travel with a soak in the outdoor hot tubs, surrounded by peaceful Icelandic countryside.
Day 2: South Coast adventure

Exploring Iceland’s South Coast is one of those days that stays with you long after the trip ends.
Stand behind the rushing curtain of Seljalandsfoss, where you can feel the mist all around you—an experience that makes you feel wonderfully small in the best way. Just around the corner, don’t miss Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall tucked inside a canyon that feels like a secret discovery.
Continue on Skogafoss, after which you’ll enjoy lunch at Lunch at Freyja Café. This is a cozy, charming spot conveniently located next to Skógafoss, making it the perfect place to pause and refuel during your South Coast adventure. Known for its fresh, beautifully presented dishes and welcoming atmosphere, it’s ideal for a relaxed midday break. Whether you’re stopping in for a light lunch, coffee, or something sweet, everything feels thoughtfully made, and just a little special—without being overcomplicated.
Continue your day by visiting the dramatic black-sand beach of Reynisfjara and the sweeping views of glaciers, lava fields, and rugged sea stacks.
End the day in the charming seaside village of Vík, before returning to Hotel Ranga for dinner. This is hands down, one of the best meals you’ll ever have. Fresh Icelandic ingredients—rich lamb, fresh seafood, and specialties like langoustine or reindeer—are elevated while still feeling comforting and approachable. With floor-to-ceiling countryside views, the setting is calm, romantic, and unforgettable. A true splurge-worthy honeymoon dinner.
Day 3: Golden Circle & lagoon relaxation

Today is the perfect mix of exploration and relaxation on the way to Reykjavik. Visit the Golden Circle for a day that feels like Iceland’s greatest hits. First visit Þingvellir National Park to stand between two continents. Witness the Strokkur geyser that erupts every few minutes and see the powerful Gullfoss waterfall.
Along the way, enjoy lava fields, rolling countryside, and maybe even a stop for fresh Icelandic treats. As you get closer to Reykjavik, decide which lagoon to visit according to your style:
Blue Lagoon: Iconic, milky-blue waters with a luxurious, resort-style feel.
Sky Lagoon: A peaceful oceanfront spa with a stunning infinity edge and 7-step Nordic ritual.
Depending on your style, this is the perfect way to unwind and reconnect. After, head back to Reykjavík Hotel for a peaceful overnight.
Day 4: Reykjavík & bucket list experience

Enjoy a relaxed yet memorable day in the city. Start by exploring Rainbow Street (Skólavörðustígur), a colorful stretch filled with local boutiques, art galleries, cozy cafés, and unique Icelandic finds.
After, head to the iconic Hallgrímskirkja Church. After, take a helicopter tour from Reykjavík to see Iceland from a completely new perspective. Enjoy flying over volcanoes, lava fields, and rugged landscapes, with possible remote landings. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and unforgettable honeymoon highlight.
Day 5: Cozy farewell

Enjoy one last Icelandic moment before heading home. Enjoy breakfast at Grái Kötturinn (The Grey Cat), a cozy, book-lined café that feels like a local living room. This spot is known for hearty breakfasts and generous portions.
Don’t miss “The Truck,” breakfast with the homemade bread (to die for), and treat yourself to a Swiss mocha—you’ll thank me later prior to departure.
Need to know
When checking into Hotel Rangá, be sure to order box lunches for your Golden Circle day. It’s such a simple upgrade that makes a big difference. Grab your meals before heading out and enjoy a scenic picnic at one of the stunning stops along the way. Trust me, there’s nothing better than soaking up those views with a great meal in hand.
