Advisor - A Dreamy Formentera Escape: 3 Perfect Days & A Bonus Boat Day
Curator’s statement

Formentera holds a special place in my heart thanks to the local lens I’ve experienced it through—visiting with a friend who calls the island home. It’s a place where you truly slow down: biking barefoot to the beach, swimming in crystal-clear water, and lingering over long lunches that stretch into sunset. The energy is laidback, sun-soaked, and effortlessly chic. It’s one of those rare destinations that makes doing nothing feel like everything.

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Emily to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrival & first dip

  • Morning: Take the ferry from Ibiza (Balearia or Trasmapi).

  • Afternoon: Check in, rent bikes or a scooter, then head to Playa Illetes for your first swim.

  • Lunch: Juan y Andrea—classic seafood right on the sand.

  • Evening: Grab wine, cheese, and snacks for a sunset picnic at Mirador Saona, soaking in panoramic island views.

  • Dinner (optional): If you're peckish afterward, grab a late bite at Beso Beach or Can Carlos.

Day 2: Artisan markets & lighthouse sunset

  • Morning: Begin with breakfast at Café del Lago, overlooking the marina.

  • Late morning: Head to El Pilar de la Mola to explore the open-air La Mola Artisanal Market (open Wednesdays and Sundays). Expect handwoven baskets, linen clothing, ceramics, and handmade jewelry. After shopping, take a walk along the cliffs near the village for sweeping sea views.

  • Lunch: Settle into Casa Pacha for a slow, stylish meal with your toes in the sand.

  • Afternoon: Beach hop to Playa Migjorn or Cala Saona for a salty dip and sun-drenched lounge.

  • Evening: Head to Far de la Mola lighthouse for golden-hour views, then toast the day with a cocktail at Código Luna nearby.

Day 3: Boutiques & Caló des Mort

  • Morning: Optional sunrise swim at Caló des Mort, then breakfast nearby or back at your hotel.

  • Late morning: Explore the chic boutiques of Sant Francesc for linen sets, island jewelry, and woven bags.

  • Lunch: Wrap up with a relaxed lunch at Es Caló Restaurant—perched above the sea with fresh fish and a breeze.

  • Afternoon: One last beach stop or ferry back to Ibiza.

Bonus day: Boat day bliss

  • Morning: Charter a boat with Pitiusa Boats or Vellmari Formentera to explore the coast from the water.

  • Lunch: Dine aboard or dock for lunch at Es Ministre, near Illetes.

  • Afternoon: Swim around Espalmador Island, an uninhabited gem just offshore.

  • Evening: End your trip with dinner and cocktails at Chezz Gerdi—colorful cushions, barefoot vibes, and a sunset to remember.

Need to know

  • Rent a car or scooter to explore the island at your own pace. Book early—availability is limited in peak season. Try ProAuto or OK Rent a Car.

  • Pack light: Swimsuits, linen, SPF, and sandals are all you need. Leave the heels at home.

  • Book restaurants in advance, especially Casa Pacha, Juan y Andrea, and Can Carlos.

  • Carry some cash for small shops, markets, and beach kiosks—though most places take cards.

  • Reserve your ferry from Ibiza ahead of time with Trasmapi or Balearia.

  • Pick up snacks or a bottle of wine for an impromptu beach picnic or sunset moment.

  • Shop local at La Mola’s artisan market or the boutiques in Sant Francesc.

  • Embrace the slow pace—the magic of Formentera is in doing less.
