Curator’s statement
On the Amalfi Coast, each town tells its own love story. Positano: the vertical village where pastel houses spill down the cliffs like a cascade of color into chic boutiques and sun-kissed beaches. The town of Amalfi: a blend of history, cathedrals, and coastal charm. Ravello: the hidden gem of the Amalfi Coast, a true hilltop dream with sweeping views of terraced gardens and endless horizons.

Things to do on the Amalfi Coast

Spiaggia Grande
So much to see as you travel along the Amalfi Coast.
Ravello: Of course you must make time to visit the grounds of Villa Cimbrone, with its beautiful gardens and stunning panoramic views from the Terrazza dell'Infinito.
Amalfi: We stayed at Villa Cimbrone and it was so very easy to take a quick 20-ish-minute bus ride to spend the whole day exploring the quaint seaside town of Amalfi. The Amalfi Cathedral is stunning and worth the three Euro entrance fee to wander around inside.
Positano: We stayed here the longest and used this as our central hub. It was so convenient to jump on a quick ferry to Capri and Sorrento to make these easy day trips. While you're in Positano, you'll also want to do a beach day to truly and fully experience taking in that iconic view!
Capri: I highly recommend doing the Monte Solaro Chairlift. I was hesitant as I don't love heights, but so grateful my husband talked me into this experience. The views are still such vivid snapshots in my mind that I will remember forever.
Places to eat & drink on the Amalfi Coast

La Fontelina Beach Club
Il Flauto di Pan: A Michelin-starred restaurant with a dining experience as unforgettable as the views you stare at while eating.
La Sponda: The dreamy restaurant in Le Sirenuse decorated with hundreds of suspended candles that take an hour to light each evening. And then there are Franco and Andrea, the musical duo that melts your heart serenading you throughout the night.
Da Vincenzo Positano: A charming family-run restaurant beautifully carved into the cliffside of Positano.
Chez Black: The lively beachfront favorite located on the famous Spiaggia Grande. Enjoy a heart-shaped pizza while taking in the beauty that is Positano.
La Fontelina: The famous blue and white umbrella beach club that is a whole vibe I cannot describe, just quintessential Capri. The menu combines the freshest Mediterranean flavors with the island's signature charm (get the baby calamari—you won't regret it).
Need to know
Use the ferries: From the port, we did day trips to Capri and Sorrento. You can also access the towns of Amalfi, Salerno, Napoli, and Castellammare (and it's way cheaper than arranging a car service).
Also, as much as I hated the thought of spending money to rent a chair at the beach club, it's so worth it! During peak season, like July when we went, it will run you 45 Euros per person, but that's your spot for the day—including a private bathroom that is very well kept. Worth every penny!
