Day 1: Arrival

Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the V&A Waterfront, browsing boutiques, or simply soaking in views of Table Mountain and the harbor. For a casual dinner close to the waterfront, try V&A Food Market or Willoughby & Co, both offering fresh, high-quality seafood and sushi in a relaxed setting.
Day 2: Cultural & historic highlights

Spend the day exploring Cape Town’s cultural and historic highlights. Visit the Bo-Kaap neighborhood to admire the colorful houses and learn about Cape Malay culture, then explore the District Six Museum to understand the city’s apartheid history. Stop by the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa’s oldest colonial building, before taking the Robben Island ferry in the afternoon for a guided tour of the prison where Nelson Mandela was held. For dinner, head to FYN, a contemporary fine-dining restaurant in the city center with a tasting menu that showcases South African ingredients in creative, modern presentations.
Day 3: Table Mountain & Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Start the morning with a Table Mountain hike via Platteklip Gorge, or take the cable car for a gentler ascent. Enjoy panoramic views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a relaxing stroll and lunch at the cafe. Enjoy dinner at Belly of the Beast, a hip, 30-seat restaurant where all diners are served each course at the same time. The modern, meat-focused tasting menu emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and creative culinary techniques.
Day 4: Cape Peninsula

Take a private guided tour of the Cape Peninsula, with stops along Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point Nature Reserve, and coastal villages like Simon’s Town and Hout Bay. Swim with the African penguins at Boulders Beach and enjoy the dramatic coastal scenery. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon for dinner at The Shortmarket Club, conveniently located near the city center, after a day on the peninsula.
Day 5: Muizenberg Beach

Relax at Muizenberg Beach, known for its colorful beach huts and gentle surf, ideal for swimming or beginner surfing. In the late afternoon, take a sunset champagne cruise from the V&A Waterfront, enjoying views of Table Mountain and the city skyline bathed in golden light. After the cruise, head to Den Anker at the V&A Waterfront for dinner, a Belgian-inspired seafood restaurant offering oceanfront views—perfect for a scenic and relaxed evening without leaving the waterfront area.
Day 6: Private wine tour

Spend a full day on a private wine tour of Stellenbosch or Franschhoek. Visit estates such as Groot Constantia, enjoy private wine tastings paired with local cheeses and charcuterie, and stop for a gourmet lunch at La Colombe, one of South Africa’s most celebrated restaurants with breathtaking views. Your guide can tailor the day to include hidden gems as well as iconic estates.
Day 7: Camps Bay

Spend your final day relaxing in Camps Bay, famous for its sandy beach, turquoise water, and backdrop of the Twelve Apostles mountains. Enjoy a leisurely morning strolling along the beach or relaxing under an umbrella with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Have a relaxed lunch at a beachfront café (optional), then spend the afternoon exploring nearby shops and art galleries or enjoying water sports. Wrap up your trip with a farewell dinner at Codfather Seafood & Sushi, a local favorite for fresh seafood in Camps Bay, with views of the sunset over the bay.
Need to know
Cape Town’s weather can be unpredictable, so pack layers and don’t forget sunscreen and a hat—the UV here is no joke! Early mornings are the best time for hikes and wildlife spotting. Hiring a private guide makes exploring the city, wine regions, and coastal drives smooth and stress-free. Be sure to book top restaurants and wine estates in advance, especially La Colombe and Groot Constantia. And of course, keep your camera handy—Cape Town’s scenery is unforgettable.
