Things to do in Bermuda

Tom Moore’s Jungle where you can follow winding trails to hidden caves and quiet pools. There’s something so calming about being surrounded by that kind of lush, tranquil landscape, then emerging to the soft sands and turquoise waters.

The Bermuda Botanical Gardens located just outside Hamilton (in the Paget Parish), an easy walk from the shops. A leisurely stroll among blooming hibiscus, palm trees, banyan groves, and aromatic her gardens. A perfect spot to have a picnic, a relaxing walk, and a quiet moment surrounded by nature.

Horseshoe Bay is Bermuda’s iconic pink sand beach, known for its stunning crescent shape and turquoise waves. For a more peaceful experience, walk to the far end of the beach, slip between the two towering rock formations, and you’ll discover a hidden grotto with fewer crowds-a perfect escape.

St. George’s is the historic heart of Bermuda, one of the oldest English settlements in the New World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Find your way over cobblestone streets to centuries-old churches. St. Peter’s Church and the Unfinished Church are all in walking distance.

Royal Naval Dockyard, located at the western tip of Bermuda, is a historic naval base turned vibrant cultural hub. It houses museums, shops, restaurants and art galleries and is a popular stop for cruise ships. Explore the National Museum of Bermuda, browse local crafts and buy a souvenir at the Clocktower Mall. Grab a seat at a restaurant and enjoy a refreshing Dark ‘n Stormy, one of Bermuda’s signature drinks.

Places to eat & drink in Bermuda

Wahoo’s in St. George’s is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Be sure to request a table on the back deck by the water, where you can enjoy a stunning view. The clear waters reveal vibrant parrotfish swimming right up the deck, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.

The Frog & Onion Pub combines rich history with a vibrant atmosphere. Bermuda Sole brewpub crafts a variety of ales onsite and offers a unique blend of British and Bermudian culinary traditions.

Mad Hatter’s in Hamilton, serves up a culinary experience in a whimsical atmosphere. Given its popularity, I recommend making dinner reservations.

Rustico’s Restaurant & Pizzeria offers many Italian options to please any traveler. I love relaxing and enjoying their pizza paired with a glass of wine.

The Swizzle Inn is the famous birthplace of the Rum Swizzle, Bermuda’s national cocktail, a fruity tropical drink made with Gosling’s Black Seal and Gold Seal rums. The Swizzle Inn provides a lively spot to dine and socialize in a memorable locale.

Need to know

Bermuda has efficient transportation options, making it easy to get around. The public bus system connects major towns, attractions and beaches. The ferries offer rides between key locations such as Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard. Taxis are also readily available.
