Curator’s statement
This journey was especially meaningful because I shared it with my best friend, my sister, and my husband—a trio who trusted me completely to curate every unforgettable moment. We moved through a tapestry of landscapes and cultures, from the desert markets of Morocco to the Mars-like volcanic peaks of the Canary Islands, to the historical and aquatic charm of Lisbon. Each destination flowed naturally into the next, revealing the incredible range of the Atlantic’s edge. It was a trip defined by curiosity, openness, and the joy of discovering stunning places together.

Need to know
This trip is for the adventurous—not the faint of heart. In Marrakesh, carry some cash and be prepared to haggle—it’s part of the culture and can even be fun once you get into it. The city is generally safe, and one of the best late-night experiences is visiting the escargot stalls in the central square.
In the Canary Islands, rent from the car company that operates across all seven islands—they’re easy to work with and ideal for taking a full lap around the island or driving up into the mountains for sweeping views.
And once you arrive in Lisbon, everything becomes wonderfully easy: transportation, dining, and exploring are all intuitive and relaxed.
