Day 1: Arrive in Miami

Fly into Miami International Airport (the closest option) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, then take a rideshare directly to Miami Beach.
Check into your fabulous hotel, then enjoy a stroll along the beach.
Cap off the day with a cocktail or glass of wine at your hotel’s rooftop or pool bar.
For dinner, seek outdoor seating within walking distance. Try Esquina Mexicana for tacos, Moreno’s Cuba for authentic Cuban cuisine, or La Leggenda Pizzeria for Neapolitan pizzas.
Day 2: Walking tours & beachy afternoons

After a slow breakfast at your hotel, join a late-morning guided walking tour with the Miami Design Preservation League. I recommend the Art Deco tour, although they also offer others, such as the Jewish Miami Beach tour and a Gay and Lesbian walking tour. The passionate guides will help you experience the neighborhood in a whole new light.
Spend the afternoon lounging at your hotel’s complimentary beach chairs and soaking in the sun.
When the night falls, choose a historic hotel lobby or a chic speakeasy discussed during your tour. The Betsy is a great option for live music and a classy atmosphere.
Day 3: On the water & around town

Kick off the morning with a kayak or stand-up paddleboarding adventure through the lush mangroves and to the surprising Raccoon Island. SoFlo Water Adventures guides are experts on the local ecosystem, and they help newbie paddlers feel confident on the water.
In the afternoon, head to the Miami mainland to immerse yourself in graffiti-covered Wynwood and see The Rubell Museum, a hidden gem showcasing world-class contemporary art.
For a bite to eat, consider trying Zak The Baker for a trendy café experience, R-House for a great happy hour and comfort food, or Love Life Café for vegan options.
If you’ve got any energy left, reserve a special evening at Dante’s HiFi, a vinyl listening bar in Wynwood, or enjoy a nightcap on the charming Española Way.
Need to know
Miami Beach comes alive late into the night. If you don't plan to stay out past midnight, consider asking your travel advisor to book a hotel room that is away from the noise.
The most convenient ways to get around are walking or using rideshare services. Parking on Miami Beach can cost between $40–$50 per day with hotel valet services.
