Curator’s statement
Anyone who knows my partner and me knows that we love two things: our queer community and spooky adventures. That's what makes Las Vegas the perfect place for us. With its vibrant queer nightlife and thrilling, spooky museums, it’s a city that caters to our every interest and keeps us coming back for more.

Things to do in Las Vegas

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Las Vegas: Fun live Drag Race “serving Las Vegas realness”
Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum: This mansion has many artifacts collected by Bagans over his career.
Aussie Heat: While most male revue shows in Vegas are LGBT friendly, this one will DEFINITELY make gay men feel welcomed.
Las Vegas Ghost Tours & Haunted Pub Crawls: This tour company has the perfect blend of spooky and history.
Hollywood Cars Museum & Liberace Garage: My partner loves vintage cars. This museum displays popular cars from movies like Herbie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Places to eat & drink in Las Vegas

The Venetian Canals Las Vegas
Canonita: This Mexican restaurant is located in The Venetian. The atmosphere alone is reason enough to visit. The canals and the painted ceiling are stunning and the food and drinks are excellent.
Rí Rá Irish Pub: My favorite Irish pub! Located in Mandalay Bay and has the BEST steaks.
Piranha Nightclub: Gay nightclub that has great drinks and events throughout the week.
The Phoenix Bar & Lounge: Lowkey LGBT bar. Serves great drinks and has a calmer environment than Piranha but it's still just as fun.
Pizza Rock: I HAVE to mention Pizza. Pizza Rock is rated number one on TripAdvisor, landed among the top 50 pizza restaurants in America, and is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE.
Need to know
To make the most of your trip, it's helpful to be aware of what's new in Las Vegas. While visitor numbers have been down, pricing for things like parking and resort fees remains high. For getting around, remember the Strip is long, so comfortable shoes are a must, and rideshare services have specific pickup spots at each hotel. In addition to its world-class entertainment, Las Vegas has rapidly transformed into a major sports destination, with professional teams like the Golden Knights (NHL) and the Raiders (NFL). The city also hosts major events like the Super Bowl and the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and it is even set to become home to the MLB's Athletics with a new stadium planned on the Strip. For a unique and spooky adventure, be sure to check out the new Universal Horror Unleashed at AREA15. On the Strip, The Mirage is being re-themed into a Hard Rock Hotel, and new restaurants are opening constantly, including a Peter Luger Steak House. These updates will help you navigate the city and find the perfect blend of thrills and relaxation.
