Need to know
The sun is stronger than you think. Even with Aruba's constant breeze, it's easy to get sunburned. Bring a reef-safe SPF 30-50 sunscreen and reapply every two hours, especially after swimming.
The tap water is safe to drink. Aruba has some of the cleanest tap water in the Caribbean, so there's no need to buy bottled water unless you prefer it.
Aruba is considered one of the safest Caribbean islands. Palm Beach is very tourist-friendly, and most visitors feel comfortable walking around resort areas, restaurants, and shops, even in the evening.
Getting around is easy. Most resorts, restaurants, and nightlife in Palm Beach are within a short taxi ride or walking distance. If you want to explore the entire island, renting a car is a great option.
