Curator’s statement
Naples surprised and delighted me—a gritty, soulful city full of history, alleyway charm, and incredible food. Pompeii is one of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve ever visited, and our private guide made the experience unforgettable. As someone who travels gluten-free, I was overwhelmed by how many gluten-free options were available, including some of the best pizza I’ve had in my life. This itinerary is especially great for culture lovers, families, and foodies—gluten-free or not!

Day 1: Arrival in Naples & hotel views

Walking through the vibrant streets of Naples, where every alley tells a story.
Check into Grand Hotel Parker’s and soak in the panoramic views of the Bay of Naples from the rooftop terrace. The hotel has old-world charm with newly renovated rooms—think Wes Anderson vibes, with a falconer who visits daily to keep seagulls away. In the afternoon, take a slow walk down the hillside (via sidewalk steps) into the city’s bustling heart. Wander through the Quartieri Spagnoli to get a taste of Naples’ gritty beauty—narrow alleys, laundry lines, vintage mopeds, and a thousand tiny storefronts. End your day with dinner at Mama Eat Vomero for a true gluten-free feast: pizza, fried dough, pasta piselli, and fried mozzarella that may just make you cry (in the best way).
Day 2: Pompeii with Luca, private guide extraordinaire

Our private guide Luca explaining ancient frescoes in Pompeii—a highlight of the trip.
Take a day trip to Pompeii with one of the best guides around: Luca of Luca Tour Guide. Luca and his driver pick you up directly from your hotel in a sleek Mercedes van, making the day smooth and stress-free. At the site, you skip the lines and enter with ease thanks to Luca’s connections. His deep knowledge brings Pompeii to life—from the preserved bathhouses and mosaics to newly excavated sections visible from elevated walkways. It’s a magical, moving place, and seeing it with Luca was unforgettable. Great for travelers of all ages—and Luca is especially wonderful with kids.
Day 3: Explore Naples like a local

Every pastry in this case is 100% gluten-free—a dreamy find at Leopoldo Cafebar - Senza Glutine in Naples.
Spend your final day exploring Naples. Start with espresso and pastries (including gluten-free options!) at a local café. Then, dive into the city’s street life. Visit the historic center, check out the Naples National Archaeological Museum, or explore the underground Napoli Sotterranea tunnels. For lunch or dinner, seek out more gluten-free eats or traditional trattorias. End your day watching the sunset from Castel Sant’Elmo or the Lungomare promenade.
Need to know

Book Pompeii tours early, especially during peak seasons.
Gluten-free travelers will be amazed—Naples is one of the most gluten free–friendly cities in Italy.
Avoid cruise ship days if possible when visiting Pompeii for a less crowded experience.
