Things to do in Sonoma, California

Sonoma is all about wine tastings, farm visits, great eats, shopping, spending time outside, and driving the coast.
For wine tastings, I suggest a variety of experiences. Hire a private driver for a day so you have some help in getting into places you might not have access to on your own. Visit tasting rooms in and around town-some are more fancy than others, so mix it up.
Farm visits are a great way to get familiar with the whole wine process. Agriculture is a huge part of the culture in this part of the country, and there is so much to learn.
Scope out restaurants and make reservations. These spots are committed to giving you an unbelievable culinary experience that enhances your wine experiences.
Visit the flagship Williams Sonoma, wander the boutiques in Healdsburg, and enjoy the local cheese shops dotted around the countryside.
Make your way to Armstrong Woods to breathe fresh air and set your sights on the giant Redwoods and all of their forest beauty.
If you have time, and I think you should, make your way out to the Pacific Coast. Yes, this is still Sonoma County! The drives are beautiful and a great way to see some fabulous views and eat tasty seafood.
