Advisor - Escape to South Beach: A Perfect 3-Day Miami Itinerary
Curator’s statement

South Beach Miami is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway, offering a vibrant mix of sun sand, and nightlife. The iconic Ocean Drive is lined with Art Deco architecture, trendy restaurants and lively bars, creating a dynamic atmosphere. With its lively cultural scene, delicious food and warm, tropical climate, South Beach offers an unforgettable experience in just a few days. South Beach is an ideal destination if you're looking for a little warmth during the cold winter months of January and February.

Day 1: Arrive in Miami

Mamad Cafe
  • Arrival at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (FLL) or Miami International Airport (MIA)

  • Take an Uber or car service to South Beach. Optional: Along the way, stop at the Wynwood Art Wall art exhibit, and then head to Mamad Café for breakfast and a lavender latte.

  • Check in at the hotel and spend a few minutes exploring the property.

  • Head to the rooftop pool for sunbathing and lunch at the rooftop restaurant.

  • Go for a walk in the shopping areas of South Beach (Lincoln Road).

  • Dinner at Paperfish Sushi or Sushi Bar located inside the Hotel Esmé (reservation required).

  • Swizzle bar for drinks or Mammamia Gelato for dessert.

Day 2: Beach or pool day

Esme Rooftop Pool
  • Wake up and exercise! Whether it's a Pilates class offered at your hotel, a run, a hike or a bike ride.

  • Breakfast at Cortadito - I recommend ordering the breakfast sandwich on warm Cuban bread, a Cortadito-flavored coffee and a guava pastry.

  • Head to your hotel pool or South Beach in the morning. I personally stayed at the Hotel Esmé which had beach chairs and towels waiting for us.

  • Lunch at Pura Vida (easy to take on the go). I recommend a smoothie and wrap of your choice

  • Spend the rest of the afternoon on the beach if you want to relax or if you're feeling adventurous: take a boat, paddleboard or jet ski tour.

  • Happy hour at Bamboo Room.

  • Dinner at Hosteria Romano or Tropezón.

  • Walk to dessert at Salt and Straw

Day 3: Botanical garden, tacos & cycling

  • Go for a walk or exercise in the morning of your choice.

  • Breakfast at The Drexel restaurant located on the Española Way.

  • Go to Miami Beach Botanical Garden.

  • Tacos for lunch at Oh Mexico!

  • Relax on the beach or by the pool.

  • Rent bikes or take a long ride along Ocean Drive enjoying the historic buildings of the Art Deco district, such as the Versace Mansion (now known as Villa Casa Casuarina).

  • If you have the time and energy to make it to the end of Ocean Drive, you can see an amazing sunset (South Pointe Park).

  • Dinner at La Leggenda Pizzeria.
