Curator’s statement
Komodo is a place where raw nature and quiet luxury coexist effortlessly—where the journey is just as meaningful as the destination. This voyage was designed to slow time, trading schedules for sunsets and modern noise for the rhythm of the sea. From intimate wildlife encounters to days spent drifting between islands, it was an experience rooted in presence, wonder, and understated indulgence. Sailing through Komodo National Park is less about checking boxes and more about surrendering to one of Indonesia’s most extraordinary landscapes.

Day 1: Arrival in Labuan Bajo

We flew from Bali to Labuan Bajo, where a seamless transfer delivered us straight to the serene Sudamala Resort.
The afternoon was intentionally unhurried—spent drifting between the pool and private beach, cocktail in hand. The bartenders’ signature drink set the tone: effortless luxury with a tropical twist, and just enough indulgence to ease into island time
Day 2: Turtles, mantas & life aboard Lady Grace

After breakfast, we transferred to the pier and boarded our elegant live-aboard, Lady Grace, our floating sanctuary for the next several days.
The afternoon unfolded with snorkeling at Sebayur Island, where clear waters revealed vibrant reefs and multiple sea turtles gliding past us with ease.
At Manta Point, we had the extraordinary privilege of swimming alongside majestic manta rays—an experience both humbling and exhilarating.
The day ended with sunset sailing toward Padar Island, followed by a beautifully prepared dinner and relaxed games with the crew under the stars.
Day 3: Iconic landscapes & rare wildlife

We rose early for a sunrise hike on Padar Island, a challenging ascent rewarded by one of Indonesia’s most iconic panoramic views—rugged peaks, pastel-colored bays, and the ocean stretching endlessly beyond.
In the afternoon, we visited Rinca Island, where we encountered the legendary Komodo Dragons, even catching sight of one in motion, a powerful reminder of their prehistoric presence.
As evening approached, we sailed to Kalong Island, where thousands of flying foxes poured into the sky at sunset, creating an awe-inspiring silhouette against fading light and emerging stars.
Day 4: A final indulgence

Reluctant to leave, we persuaded our guides to arrange one final early-morning snorkel at a nearby reef teeming with turtles and brilliantly colored fish. It felt like a private encore from the sea itself.
We returned to the mainland shortly after, departing for home with sun-warmed skin, salt in our hair, and the lingering feeling of having experienced Komodo in its most extraordinary form.
