The resort offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit different travel styles. Hotel rooms come in various configurations, including connecting rooms, bunk bed setups, and walk-out pool access. For families wanting more space or planning a longer stay, the villas are an excellent option. They range from one-level to two-story layouts, with some featuring private pools. Reviewing the property map in advance is helpful when deciding where to stay. Golf carts are available to rent for guests staying farther from the main lodge. Villas are currently being updated, ensuring a consistent standard of décor and comfort across the property. We stayed in a villa in the 700 block and especially loved being able to fish right from our backyard.
Activities at Hawks Cay are extensive, particularly for families. Daily children’s programming rotates and includes options like shell and coconut painting, treasure hunts, and drop-off camps. The main pool area is lively, featuring DJs, bingo, complimentary popsicles, and paddleboarding in the lagoon. The resort is also building a new waterpark scheduled to open in August 2026, which will include multiple waterslides and an additional dining venue.
The newly updated marina is a highlight, offering easy access to boat excursions, snorkeling trips, and sandbar outings. Fishing charters are especially popular, with options ranging from reef and deep-sea fishing to spearfishing. One of the most memorable experiences is the “Hook and Cook,” where your fresh catch is prepared for dinner at Angler & Ale the same evening.
For adults, the resort offers a well-rounded experience with a full-service spa and fitness center. The spa includes a coed hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Tennis and pickleball are also available, and the property is recognized as one of the top 25 facilities in Florida for these sports.
