Curator’s statement

Asheville, NC and the surrounding areas often get overlooked as a vacation locale. Asheville is a year-round destination, but I specifically enjoy the NC Mountains in the summer months. Outdoor hikes, waterfalls and a hub of renowned breweries make this a wonderful experience for both couples and families!

Zen Tubing offers river tubing, relax and float down the French Broad River in Asheville.

Biltmore: A historical site that is a "must do" for everyone's first trip to Asheville. The grounds are meticulous. In addition to the grand Biltmore home itself, you can view their expansive gardens, the Biltmore Winery, as well as a petting zoo for kids!

Zen Tubing: Float the French Broad in summer with Zen tubing. Enjoy a relaxing float, stop to swim or wade in the water, bring a cooler and enjoy the beauty the French Broad River has to offer.

Triple Falls: Outside Asheville in the DuPont State Forest is the magic of Triple Falls. Beautiful waterfalls, hikes and water to wade in. Perfect for couples and families.

Sliding Rock: A definite must-do when you're in the area! Drive to the Pisgah Forest and take the exhilarating ride down the 60 ft. natural slide made of rock and into the 8ft deep pool. The water is chilly year round, so this is reserved for summer time!
