Things to do in Paris

Shopping

There is nowhere else that has shopping like Paris. Almost every street you can find an amazing Parisian brand or a unique vintage store.

Nuovo, Predilection, Acid Violette, and Bimbo Vintage Club are just some of my favorites.

Eating

You don’t come to Paris to not eat. Eat out at lunch, at dinner, and cute cafes in between.

  • Le Bon George: For a classic French bistro with the best chocolate mousse.

  • Chez Janou: It’s a classic and its so much fun.

  • Les Enfants du Marche: For a lunch experience like a local.

  • Jais: Another classic French bistro, for an amazing steak frites.

Art & culture

  • Take the time to go to the LV Foundation, it really is amazing.

  • Le Centre Pompidou: You just have to go if it’s your first time in Paris.

  • Bourse de Commerce: For the Pinault Collection.

  • Monet’s Garden: It’s worth making the trip.

Jardin Luxembourg

My “must” when visiting Paris is to go to Jardin Luxembourg and just walk around. One of the prettiest parks you’ll ever go to.

Places to eat & drink in Paris

  • Cafe du Clown: If you are a coffee lover, then you need to go here. Locals-only vibes as well.

  • Chapon et la Chocolaterie de l’Eglise: Chocolate mousse to die for.

  • Cypsele: A new restaurant to my list, and seriously worth it.

  • Clamato or Septime: Try and get into at least one of these.

  • Wine bars: Juste, Early June, Delicatessen Place, Buvette

Need to know

  • Bring your passport when shopping so you can get your tax receipts—and then make sure you get to the airport early so you have time to submit them.

  • AMEX is not widely accepted.

  • Reservations are actually needed for most restaurants.

  • Ubers are cheap, but traffic is awful—walk or bike when you can.

  • Do not go in the middle of summer. Air conditioning is rare, and that city gets hot.
