Curator’s statement
A golfer’s best-kept secret, but that’s not all. This quaint seaside town gives all the charm while still upholding modern times and traditions, along with a central location to explore the countryside when venturing out. I discovered Lytham St Annes through a family visit and it allowed me to see what this town really has to offer.

Day 1: Local cuisine

Gastronomic exploration is a key element of travel, offering insights into local culture and traditions. Prioritizing the discovery of regional cuisine and beverages is essential for an immersive experience and understanding the community's preferences.
Breakfast: Bakes & Cakes
Local eatery and stop for a fast but delicious breakfast. Full English breakfasts are available, but they’re known for their simple breakfast butties (sandwiches).
Insider tip: Try the bacon butty (sandwich) and sit outside and enjoy the morning sun.
Lunch: Queen’s Hotel
A hotel and pub steps from the beach with elevated service and style.
Insider tip: Have the fish and chips with malt vinegar and curry sauce (for dipping) and wash it down with a shandy (ale and lemonade), with sticky toffee pudding for dessert!
Dinner: The Zen (Chinese)
Quaint, family-run place serving up flavorful authentic Chinese food.
Insider tip: Try the shredded crispy beef, crispy duck and any noodle dish. Make a reservation!
Day 2: Scenic drive

Enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District's picturesque countryside. Remember to familiarize yourself with English driving regulations if necessary, and have a fantastic time!
Visit one of the many day spas and relax with sweeping views of the beautiful lake. (Most pools are heated so wintertime isn’t a problem!)
Indulge in retail therapy and satisfy your cravings on High Street. Make sure to enjoy a pint, too!
Day 3: Pub crawl

A curated pub crawl experience is readily achievable due to the abundance of historically significant and characterful public houses located throughout the area. Each establishment possesses a distinctive appellation, and exploring their respective histories provides an enriching and engaging activity.
Follow this exact list to get the most out of your commute:
The County
Barrique
The TAPS
Wetherspoon’s
Greene King
Need to know
While on your pub crawl, take note that beers are mainly poured from the tap and are served at “cellar temperature" (around 52 degrees F or 11 degrees C), a bit warmer than draft beers. This particularly applies to cask ales and the cellar temperature allows the subtle flavors to develop and prevent a harsh taste.
