Things to do in Casablanca

Just a short drive from Santiago, Casablanca invites you to explore its world-class vineyards and unique experiences. Start with a tasting at Casas del Bosque, one of the valley’s most celebrated wineries, before moving on to Villard Fine Wines for boutique vintages that capture the region’s character. For something hands-on, head to Bodegas RE, where you can craft your own blend and take home a bottle of your own creation. At Emiliana, South America’s largest organic vineyard, stroll among the vines and meet the resident llamas and alpacas. Round out your day with a long, relaxed lunch at Matetic, where fine wines pair perfectly with farm-to-table cuisine in a breathtaking setting.
Places to eat & drink in Casablanca

Villard Fine Wines
Macerado
This restaurant is all about celebrating the land. Macerado serves “Casablanca Origin Cuisine,” using mostly local products, many from its own organic garden, to craft a menu that reflects the valley’s flavors. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and pairing their food with expressive valley wines.
Casas del Bosque: Tanino & Casa Mirador
Tanino is the signature restaurant here: a modern, refined kitchen where each dish is designed to pair beautifully with the winery’s wines. There’s seafood, meats, pastas, and fresh ingredients straight from their own organic orchard.
Casa Mirador offers a more elevated tasting-menu experience, often with multiple courses crafted in collaboration with the winemakers, all set in a scenic hilltop spot with sweeping views.
Bodegas RE
Bodegas RE is a boutique winery with a strong artisanal touch. Their offerings are less about formal restaurants and more about immersive tasting experiences: exploring ancestral varieties, seeing production spaces (including clay amphoras, etc.), and enjoying wine with local snacks. It’s cozy, creative, and centered around the wine-making process itself rather than a full-service gourmet restaurant.
Matetic: Equilibrio Restaurant
Equilibrio is Matetic’s culinary heart. The restaurant features Chilean cuisine using mainly locally grown and organic ingredients (many from their own gardens) in a warm, beautifully landscaped setting.
The décor and grounds add to the experience: ponds, tree-lined paths, views across Robinson Valley, making it perfect for slow, relaxed lunches paired with the vineyard’s wines.
Villard Fine Wines: Chez Villard Wine Bar
Chez Villard is more intimate and casual compared to full restaurants. It offers a small menu meant for sharing. Think of plates that go well with glasses of wine. Dishes use carefully selected, chemical-free ingredients, and there’s often a seasonal, multi-course tasting lunch paired with a curated wine flight. The view, especially from the patio, is one of its draws: the vineyard and surrounding mountains.
Need to know
We recommend choosing three vineyards per day with at least one including a lunch option.
