Advisor - The Ultimate Mother-Daughter Itinerary for London
Curator’s statement

London is the perfect destination for mothers and daughters to shop, eat, drink cocktails, catch a West End show and wander the parks and gardens. I like to add in a little history too and a day trip outside the city if we have the time. This is an unforgettable experience for mothers and daughters!

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Jen to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrive in London

On arrival day it’s all about taking advantage of that early check-in if possible. Freshen up and then hit the streets for window shopping (or real shopping) on Regent Street and people watching in Green Park. Do an early dinner near your hotel. If you’re staying at Flemings Mayfair, I recommend a quick walk around the corner to Shepherd Market for Italian fare at Misto.

Day 2: Black Cab Tour & British Museum

Start your morning with a Black Cab Tour with Discover Real London to take in the prime London sites and get good photos. Take a leisurely lunch at a nearby pub, then head to the British Museum for the afternoon. Walk back to your hotel, stopping in shops along the way.

Day 3: History, Borough Market & the London Eye

Today is history day, so start your morning with a Tower of London tour to see the crown jewels and visit the Churchill War Rooms for the excellent audio tour. Borough Market for a late lunch. Walk across the Tower Bridge or the London Bridge and along the waterfront. Dinner at the Black Dog. If you haven’t done it, tonight is the night to ride the London Eye.

Day 4: Shopping & see a show

Day of shopping. Head out to Portobello Market. Have brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn. Head back into the city center for more shopping in Covent Garden for high-end shopping or boutique shopping. Grab cocktails at the Shard or Sky Garden before seeing a West End Show. Grab late night pizza for dinner after the show!

Day 5: V&A Museum, Harrods & afternoon tea

Start your day in South Kensington at the V&A museum. Grab a light bite nearby, the head to Harrods for more shopping… and Dubai chocolate. Afternoon tea and more shopping at Fortnum & Mason. Wander through Green Park or St. James Park to digest all of that amazing food you just ate.

Need to know

London is a year-round destination and can be enjoyed in all seasons. Hotels keep umbrellas on hand for use. Using the Tube is easy-just download the CityMapper app and use ApplePay to go through the turnstiles. There are many day trip options if you have more time. Bath, Windsor, Oxford, Cotswolds, and the Lake District give you another glimpse of the UK outside of the city!
