Things to do on a Disney cruise

Dinner at Enchanté on the Disney Wish
Kids Club: Where the magic really happens
Disney’s Kids Clubs are truly unmatched. These beautifully themed spaces are filled with nonstop activities and frequent character experiences, and they’re open until midnight—perfect for both early mornings and late nights. Many ships even have a slide leading into the club, which instantly makes kids excited to go. I always recommend touring the Kids Club on embarkation day so children feel comfortable right away. Be sure to set up your pickup authorization for your family early on, and know that kids can message you through the app anytime they’re ready to be picked up, making the experience feel easy and flexible.
Adult-only dining: A well-deserved night out
While your kids are happily enjoying the Kids Club, take advantage of Disney’s exceptional adult-only dining options like Palo or Enchanté. These restaurants offer a quieter atmosphere and truly outstanding food, giving parents a chance to relax and enjoy a meal on their own—without any guilt. It’s one of the best-kept secrets of Disney cruising and a wonderful way to recharge.
Royal Gathering: Princess magic without the long lines
The Royal Gathering is a must for families with princess fans. This special meet-and-greet allows you to reserve a time to meet five princesses during one visit, with minimal waiting. The princess lineup varies by cruise, and reservations must be made in advance—but the experience is completely free. I can help clients secure this reservation, along with other onboard experiences, before sailing.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: Princesses & pirates at sea
A princess or pirate makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is even more enjoyable on a Disney Cruise than in the parks. Kids have more time to enjoy the experience, show off their transformation, and meet characters afterward—especially fun on Pirate Night. It’s a memorable experience that adds extra magic without feeling rushed.
Character meet-and-greets: Magic around every corner
One of the best parts of a Disney Cruise is how easy it is to meet characters. Appearances happen all day long around the ship, characters change outfits, and lines are usually short. As soon as you board, check the Disney Cruise Line app and favorite the character times you don’t want to miss—it makes planning effortless.
Disney’s private islands: The perfect family beach day
Disney’s private islands in the Caribbean are a dream for families. Calm waters with lifeguards in the bay, food included right on the island, and plenty of space to relax and play make these stops stress-free and fun. There’s also a kids club on the island, so adults can enjoy time at the adults-only beach while kids stay entertained. It’s often a highlight of the entire cruise for both parents and children.
