Curator’s statement

Singapore is a fantastic gateway destination to a longer Southeast Asia itinerary. Hop on a direct flight from LAX and spend three days exploring Singapore before continuing on to Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam or the Maldives, to name a few. It's a very energetic city with tons of activities, a beautiful skyline, and a foodie's dream. I traveled to Singapore solo and felt completely safe!

Things to do in Singapore

Walkway connecting the trees in a garden.

Visit Gardens by the Bay - this one is an absolute must! I would recommend visiting around late afternoon/evening for some stunning photos.

Dive into some fantastic cuisine by taking a Half-Day Singapore Hawker Center food tour with hotel transfers. You will sample an array of specialties from Chinese, Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine. This is another must do, and a UNESCO street food experience.

Take a Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore (4 hours). I'm a big fan of bike tours because they are a great way to get to know a city in a short amount of time.

Spend a half day exploring Sentosa Island or relaxing at Palawan Beach. If you have children, you may choose to explore Universal Studios or the S.E.A. Aquarium. Sentosa is accessible by taxi, a free shuttle bus, or the monorail.

Take a Singapore Sunset Cruise on a Luxury Catamaran.

Take a private authentic Singaporean cooking class (3 hours).

Visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens - another great option if you are traveling with children.

Day Trips

Take a half-day or full-day trip to Sentosa Island.
