Day 1: Crockett, cowboys, & courtside seats

The Alamo

Drop your bags at your hotel, right on the River Walk — convenience is key, and you’ll be grateful for the easy access later. Once you’re settled, lace up your walking shoes because our first stop is a big one: The Alamo (Never forget!). This legendary site is not only the most iconic landmark in Texas, but also one of five historic missions that make up San Antonio’s UNESCO World Heritage designation.

Walking in the footsteps of Davy Crockett and fellow defenders can definitely work up an appetite. Luckily, you’re just a short stroll away from one of the oldest German-American restaurants in the city. Expect hearty, diner-style comfort food that’ll hit the spot for the whole crew.

After lunch, it’s time to explore more of the River Walk. If you're feeling too full to wander on foot, hop on a riverboat tour — it’s a fun and relaxing way to take in the sights without breaking a sweat. Once you're recharged, keep the adventure going with a stroll through La Villita Historic Arts Village, the oldest village in Texas. This charming area is full of local art, quaint shops and cobblestone alleyways perfect for exploring.

When the sun starts to set, you’ve got a couple great options to end the night:

Grab dinner and soak up the panoramic views from the Tower of the Americas, complete with a rotating restaurant and observation deck. Or, if your crew’s got a sporty side, catch a San Antonio Spurs game and experience the electric local energy firsthand.

Day 2: Missions, miles & messy fingers

Mission San Jose

Wake up and grab some breakfast — you’re gonna need the energy today! Load up on water, sunscreen and snacks because we’re heading out to explore the four remaining UNESCO World Heritage Site Missions. If your crew is up for a little adventure, hop on some bikes and follow the scenic Mission Reach Trail. The ride is mostly flat and easygoing, but fair warning — it clocks in at around 15 miles round-trip if you hit all the missions. (Totally worth it!)

Each mission has its own unique story and ties to the rich history of Texas and Mexico. From Mission Concepción’s original frescoes to Mission San Juan’s quiet beauty, it’s like a time-travel tour on two-wheels.

After your journey through the past, it’s time to reward yourselves with some legendary Texas BBQ. If you’ve still got a little gas in the tank, spend the evening back at the River Walk. By night, the boats glow, the music flows and the whole place feels like a Southern fairytale.

Day 3: Parks, pearls & piñatas

Riverwalk

Hope you're not too worn out from yesterday’s mission madness, because today is all about taking it slow and soaking in San Antonio’s softer side. Start the day with a relaxed breakfast, then head over to the beautiful Brackenridge Park — an oasis in the middle of the city. Whether you’re in the mood for a peaceful stroll or some low-key fun, you’ve got options galore: San Antonio Zoo, Gardens, or hop aboard a mini train for a ride through the park.

Once you’ve gotten your nature fix, it’s time to make your way to the historic Pearl District — a former brewery turned into a trendy food and cultural hub. Whether your crew wants tacos, ramen or pastries, there’s something for everyone here. Take your time exploring the shops and open spaces.

Grab your sombreros because for this next stop we are going to dive into the heart of San Antonio’s Mexican-American culture - Historic Market Square. Explore the colorful shops, grab souvenirs and stick around for dinner — this place is home to some of the best Tex-Mex in town. A margarita for the grown-ups and a concha for the kiddos? Yes, please.

As the sun begins to set, cap off the night with a visit to San Fernando Cathedral, where a free light show often plays across the façade, telling the incredible story of San Antonio’s past. It’s a magical way to end the day — and your trip!

Day 4: Want to add an extra day? Let’s make it count!

San Antonio Rodeo

Thinking about extending your stay? Great idea — there’s even more to explore! Whether you're looking for thrills or small-town charm, I've got you covered. Let me know and I can help you snag tickets to the original Six Flags Fiesta Texas for a day of roller coasters and water rides. Or plan a relaxing day trip to one of the charming nearby Texas towns like Gruene, Fredericksburg or Boerne.

Before locking in your dates, be sure to check if any festivals, rodeos or special events are happening during your stay — San Antonio always has something exciting going on, and it's a great way to experience the local flavor.

Want something a little more personalized? The culture here runs deep, and I’d love to help craft something just for you! Whether you're into custom walking tours, ghost tours, brewery crawls or foodie adventures, just say the word and I’ll create a custom guide that'll make your San Antonio stay even more unforgettable.
