Curator’s statement
Rome is a city like no other. Steeped in history, culture and spirituality, it offers an experience transcending time. Every corner reveals a story, from the grandeur of St. Peter’s Basilica to the quiet charm of Trastevere’s narrow streets. The atmosphere here is palpable, where ancient ruins coexist with modern life, creating a unique energy that draws millions each year. My favorite spot is the area around the Piazza del Popolo, a grand entrance to the city filled with stunning architecture, art galleries and vibrant cafés. It’s a place where I can pause, soak in the beauty and feel the weight of history around me. Whether you’re coming for the Jubilee in 2025 or simply to explore, I do not doubt that Rome will leave you with memories to cherish forever and a longing to return.

This is your opportunity to walk through the door, which represents Christ as the gate to eternal salvation. Make sure to take in the significance of this sacred journey as you receive a complete indulgence.
Attend a Papal Audience: A visit to Rome for the Jubilee wouldn’t be complete without attending a Papal Audience. These sessions are a chance to receive blessings from Pope Francis and witness the spiritual fervor of the Catholic community in the heart of Rome.
Experience art and culture at Jubilee events: The Vatican is hosting a variety of artistic and cultural events throughout the year. Attend performances, exhibitions and concerts that express faith through music, art and literature. These cultural experiences will deepen your connection to both the city and your faith.
Explore the four Papal Basilicas: Along with St. Peter’s Basilica, visit the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, St. Mary Major and St. Paul Outside the Walls. These monumental churches are significant to the Jubilee pilgrimage, where you can receive the grace of a plenary indulgence by passing through their Holy Doors.
