Curator’s statement
My wife and I recently had the most amazing weekend in Lincoln City, a charming town on Oregon's central coast just two and a half hours from Portland. The town's vibrant atmosphere and welcoming locals made our stay truly unforgettable. The weather was fantastic, and we loved every moment on the pristine beaches and exploring the quirky antique shops. Our meals were a highlight, especially those enjoyed with stunning ocean views. With its excellent air quality, great camping spots and scenic hiking trails, Lincoln City offers us the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Things to do in Lincoln City
Lincoln City in Oregon offers seven miles of diverse beach experiences: My wife and I spent some time walking the beach, loving the cool breeze and the amazing views. The water was pretty cold but so clear. There were lots of families, people passing by and folks having fun with their pets. The beach seemed to be pretty busy all weekend, and even with all the activity, the beach stayed very clean.
Some beaches to check out:
Gleneden Beach: Enjoy its broad, sandy expanse.
Fishing Rock: Explore its rugged, rocky shoreline.
Siletz Bay: Perfect for crabbing, clamming and watching stunning sunsets at the southern end of the city.
Roads End Point: Discover this secluded beach, accessible during low-tide.
D River Beach Wayside: Relax at this usually clean beach, popular for kite-flying.
Lincoln City is made up of districts, including Roads End, Wecoma, Oceanlake, Delake, Nelscott, Taft and Cutler City.
Activities
Shopping: Lincoln City offers a great shopping experience with the Lincoln City Outlets, boasting over 50 brand-name stores and a range of unique shops. The town also has a fantastic array of antique stores. My wife and I checked out a few of them, including Carrousel By the Beach, where we found some great vintage sports cards and gloves. We also visited 101 Inspirations and picked up some fun Harry Potter mugs.
