Things to do in Southeast USA
The Food
These resorts all specialize in local cuisine - make sure you try whatever is in season. Whether that's a Lowcountry Boil, biscuits and gravy, or a cobbler with the freshest fruit, you will no doubt be satisfied! These resorts all offer incredible dining options so you won't need to even leave the resort.
To Do
There is no short list of things to do in the South. Fishing, golfing, hiking, canoe rides, horseback riding, or mountain biking -- all of these resorts offer any incredible array of activities for guests to enjoy the great outdoors!
When to Go
One of the things I love about the South is there are four gorgeous seasons, making these destinations perfect year round. Want to see the leaves changing? October-November! A snowy getaway snuggled by the fire? December - March! The first flowers in bloom? April - May! A gorgeous, lush summer escape? June - September!
Places to eat & drink in Southeast USA
Most of these resorts offer anything and just about everything you could need to vacation right. If you're wanting to explore the surrounding area, here are some tips:
High Hampton: Located in Cashiers, NC. This small mountain town is a cute spot to walk around. Don't miss The Farmers Market, Cashiers Candy Shop, Buck's Coffee Cafe, Winslow's Hideaway, Chile Loco and Whiteside Brewing Co.
Montage Palmetto Bluff: Located in Bluffton, SC. Don't miss Nectar Farm Kitchen, La Birria Loca, The Sugaree and Old Town Dispensary. Also, Bluffton is nestled between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, two amazing destinations to visit for the day or even a few nights stay after.
