Curator’s statement
If you’re looking to fit as much of Paris in as you can in one day, this itinerary is for you. As a lifelong lover of all things French, I’ve been to Paris four times and followed this route on my most recent trip. With every trip I take, I make a detailed Google map and let the day take me wherever I feel. Whether you’ve been to Paris before or it’s your first time, this packed day gives you a chance to get a little bit of everything. Note - we walked everywhere due to the strikes at the time, so make sure you have walking shoes on!

Day 1: Explore Paris
First stop
Breakfast at your hotel, full of delicious French pastries, cheeses and fruit. My favorite hotels include Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg, Maison Astor Paris and Four Seasons Hotel George V, where my clients receive complimentary daily breakfast, room upgrade upon arrival, early check-in/ late check-out and hotel credit.
Champs Élysée
Make your way to the Champs Élysée first thing in the morning before the crowds set in - take pictures of unobstructed views of the Arc de Triomphe from the middle of the street (take them while crossing the street safely in the crosswalk).
Marché Président Wilson
Head to le Marché Président Wilson, open Saturdays and Wednesdays, for great food, souvenirs, beautiful flowers and more.
After your first 1k+ steps, you might want a treat so grab a crêpe de sucre for two euro from the market’s crêpe stand.
Eiffel Tower
Afterwards, take in the view of the Eiffel Tower (the first of the day) from the famed Bambino restaurant’s patio.
La Seine
Then head down the steps and towards La Seine. There’s a great view of the Eiffel Tower down by the water - look out for a ramp that leads to the lower walking level where the boats are docked.
Up next
Place de Trocadéro to take in the elevated view of the Eiffel Tower. Keep an eye on your belongings - pickpockets can roam anywhere!
It’s time for another snack - this time at the famed Carette. There may be a line, but the wait is worth it - make sure to order their famous hot chocolate and enjoy people-watching.
Then it’s time to keep walking - stop in the Four Seasons Hotel George V or better yet, stay there.
Loop back to the Champs-Élysées now that stores are open.
Stop in Pierre Hermé for an iconic macaron.
And pop in Paul for a baguette (or two).
Then take a stroll to the Jardin des Tuileries.
And stop for lunch at Cafe Marly, with a view of Le Louvre.
Then if you have time, stop by Le Louvre or at least take pictures of the pyramids!
Bonus stop is down in Le Carrousel du Louvre - there’s an old-style photobooth that prints out the perfect souvenir.
Next stop
LV Dream. Book tickets in advance or otherwise, it’s worth a visit to their chocolate shop inside the Louis Vuitton boutique. Chocolates start at 16 euros and come with a signature LV gift bag.
Pont Neuf
Take a breather and sit on a bench on Pont Neuf on your way into Rive Gauche.
As you cross onto Île Saint-Louis, check out the shops - there are beautiful flower shops including La Maison de L’Orchidée, a greenhouse full of orchids that even the late Queen Elizabeth II has visited.
Notre Dame
Notre Dame is next - it’s closed until 2024, however, you can still admire the iconic structure from outside.
Saint Germain
Cross over to Saint Germain and take in the many shops and bustling energy.
Stop for dinner at one of the many bistros in Saint Germain.
After a long day, head back to your hotel for a nightcap and well-deserved rest!
