Advisor - A Week in Paradise: Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
Curator’s statement

The Four Seasons Hualalai isn’t just a resort, it is a full experience with incredible food, scenery, and activities for couples and families. This hotel has multiple restaurants, on-site, a full service spa and too many pools and hot tubs to count. One barely has to leave the property to have a spectacular vacation. Spend the week at the spa, playing tennis or pickleball, yoga classes and enjoy a different pool to spend time at every day. Through the hotel, you can also book boat excursions and more. There are some great hikes on the island as well!

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Brooke Weinreb to book your trip.

Day 1: Welcome to paradise

Wake up and drink your coffee on the lanai (balcony) of your beautiful hotel room overlooking the ocean. Walk to the fitness club and play some pickle ball before it gets too hot out. Spend the rest of the day laying on a lounge chair at the Beach Tree pool and get lunch at their gorgeous Beach Tree Bar restaurant. Make a reservation for dinner at Residents Beach House during sunset. This place is stunning and right on the beach. Be sure to order the Fish and the Ono enchiladas. They are my favorite!

Day 2: Pools and beach

Beach Tree restaurant

In the morning, sign up for one of the many workout classes at the fitness center. I personally love their yoga classes. Grab lunch or brunch at the general store and head to one of the other eight pools on property. My family loves King’s Pond and Seashell Pool. The walk over is stunning. King’s Pond is fun because you can go snorkeling in it. Spend the day by the pool and beach or even try to hit the driving range and play some golf. Dinner will be at Beach Tree Restaurant where there will be live Hawaiian music, dancers, or even fire dancers!

Day 3: On the water

Canoeing and snorkling

Sign up for a boat ride in the morning. You may be able to see dolphins and go snorkeling! In the winter time, there may even be gigantic whales nearby. After the boat, get brunch at Ulu at their incredible breakfast buffet. Spend the day at whatever pool you choose or play some golf. There is also a beautiful beach to go swimming at, relax, and you can see some turtles resting in the sand. Get sunset dinner and drinks at Lava Lava Beach Club.

Day 4: Kua Bay

Kua Bay

After breakfast, go to Kua Bay (Manini’owali Beach) This beach has the most stunning blue water. Spend the day swimming, exploring, and lying out at the beach. Be sure to bring a beach towel! When you get back to the resort, go to the spa and take a dip in the pool and cold plunge, sauna, steam etc. Go to dinner at Ulu.

Day 5: Pololu Valley

Pololu Valley Black Sands Beach

Drive to Pololu Valley for a hike with incredible and unique views. The hike will lead you to a beautiful black-sand beach. On the way to Pololu Valley, have lunch in the town of Hawi at one of the charming restaurants. Stop at Moa Kitchen on the way home for a casual Japanese dinner.

Day 6: Relaxation in Kona

Kona Village

Play some tennis or golf in the morning followed by lunch at Beach Tree Pool. Enjoy the day relaxing at Beach Tree Pool. Head to the spa and get ready for dinner. You will head off campus for dinner and walk along the beach to Kona Village- Rosewood hotel. Request a table outside with the best views! The fish is a must-order!

Day 7: Hawaiian farewell

Residents Beach House

For your last day, enjoy the resort! Head to the spa, relax by one of the eight pools. Have lunch and drinks by the pool. A family tradition is that we always go to Residents Beach House for our last meal. We love the food and the sunset views!

Need to know

Of course, there are so many other recommendations for things to do on the Big Island, such as: touring a coffee farm, other gorgeous hikes, Kiholo Bay and the Path to Hana, etc. Would love to plan your next Hawaiian vacation that’s perfect for your interests and travel goals.
