Things to do in Mauritius

Le Caudan Waterfront: The best spot in the capital city of Port Louis. As the name suggests, it’s a waterfront with a shopping complex, souvenir shops, and lots of cafes and restaurants to eat and enjoy for a couple to three hours.
Odysseo Oceanarium: Really cool aquarium with a wide variety of Fishes. One of the finest spots for couples as well as families with kids.
Grand Baie: A region in the North Mauritius where in you can just shop around the shopping complex and eat some good stuff. A lot of Indian restaurants are there in this area.
Ile-Aux-Cerfs: The best Island tour that there can be in Mauritius. Grab a Catamaran from Trou d’eau douce and go on the island of Ile-aux-cerfs, where there can be a lot of activities to be done.
South Mauritius: Another tour that can take a full day if you’re staying in North. South Mauritius offers some breathtaking tours, including treks and seven-colored soil tours.
Places to eat & drink in Mauritius

Farata Chaud (Dholl Puri Stall): The best local dish of the island of Mauritius. You can’t go back without eating this! Especially Indians. They would love it with the kind of spices used. It’s delicious!
Masali Indian Food Story: Indian restaurant option for people living in Mon Choisy or Trou aux biches area. Decent prices, decent food.
Bullies Social: One of the finest Burger places. Real good and delicious burgers paired with fries and other side options. Must-visit for Burger lovers like me!
Felicita: Authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas! They are super good. Gotta try them if you’re in Mauritius.
Need to know
Most places close by 5 pm in the evening. Most restaurants close by 8-9 pm on weekdays. Plan your day accordingly.
Car rental: Car rental self-drive is a must here. But be careful while driving at night, especially if it’s raining. Not recommended, though, unless you are an absolute pro at doing it.
Recommendation: My personal accommodation recommendation would be Bon Azur Beachfront Apartments in Trou aux Biches. Self-contained beautiful apartments for longer stays.
Best areas to stay: North Mauritius.
