Scottsdale is a long-coveted bachelor and bachelorette destination, and I have finally learned why. Things to do in Scottsdale

The Bar Is Open AZ
Ride ATVs: You’re coming to the desert, of course you’re going to get a little adventurous and take the group for an ATV ride. Depending on how much of the group there is, adrenaline junkies can help you narrow down the proper partner for this excursion. There’s so many in the area, but I can’t recommend Desert Dog Offroad enough. Michelle is easy to work with. Transportation is included, reliable and efficient and the guide was engaging, knowledgable, and super fun. While you will have a travel a bit outside the heart of Old Town or it's nearby areas to reach the mountains for this experience, the drive is stunning and well-worth the time. Do not skip this when visiting Scottsdale.
Bartending class: Another great bachelor or bachelorette party staple is an at-home bartending class. Teach the group how to make fun cocktails and learn a bit about the art of mixology and flavor. Such a fun way to pre-game for a night out, or spice up a night in.
Places to eat & drink in Scottsdale

Hash Kitchen Bloody Mary Bar
Spots
Old Town has a ton to offer from restaurants, bars, and activities for all budgets and styles. We opted for the casual route, bar-hopping for 90’s look alike costumes for our “Bach to The 90's" theme. We ate at Culinary Dropout, which was not highly recommended by many bachelorette bloggers, but the food and drinks were absolutely something to write home for and this hidden gem should not be overlooked.
Brunch options such as Diego Pops, The Montauk and Olive & Ivy dominate the charts, but we opted for Hash Kitchen (specifically the Gainey Village location) to enjoy their coveted Bloody Mary bar and mimosa flights, and boy was this a good choice. The vibe, specifically the live DJ, make this a hot spot for bachelors and bachelorettes, and it was nice to get outside Old Town for a bit.
Bar-hopping
Tons of clubs line the streets of Old Town, including Maya, Dierk’s Bentley, Riot House, and more. Instead of clubbing, our group opted for a dive bar crawl, and let me tell you—this city is doing the dive scene right. Highly recommended are:
Patties: Covered in dollar bills & playing great music, you can’t get a more quintessential dive bar experience.
Not My First Rodeo: The country dive you need to spruce up the night and change up the music vibe. They serve big shots, and the dance floor is packed.
Other notable mentions for The Grapevine, serving local bites and open karaoke all night long. Coach House, Boondocks, & Barstool Scottsdale (Hint: Promoters offer bachelorette groups tables here for just the cost of a small tip, and yes it’s legit, we did it.)
If you’re looking for something more classy, check out Living Room & Cottontail Lounge at the W Hotel, or Cala’s Mediterranean rooftop bar at the Senna House Hotel.
Need to know
The weather is tricky. Pack sunscreen and light layers as you may get chilly mornings or evenings depending on the time of year. When the sun is out, it is strong, and even though the humidity is nowhere to be found, you’ll want to protect yourself from high UV.
Instead of Uber or Lyft, use Fetti: A group ride-share service available in select locations that allows you to order a van sized vehicle for anywhere from 2–14 guests and pay per person. It’s a great way to get to and from activities as a group so you never have to split up.
Temper your expectations of Old Town: Just prepare for lines at certain bars and clubs if you do not pre-purchase a VIP table. Prices for VIP tables were a bit higher than expected, more comparable to Vegas/Miami pricing.
