Advisor - A Long Weekend in Nashville
Curator’s statement

Nashville is a city that feels like home to me. Whether you like the energy of Broadway Street or strolling through charming neighborhoods, it has so much to offer for a long weekend. Walk down Broadway and experience the passion of performers going for their dreams, maybe meet Morgan Wallen or Lainey Wilson as they often visit their bars, or spend the afternoon at a rooftop pool. Nashville is a great spot for couples, friends, or family to celebrate.

Things to do in Nashville

Strolling 12 South

  • 5th & Broadway: This new district is the pulse of Nashville. Across from Bridgestone Arena, you will find a variety of unique shops and restaurants for all to enjoy.

  • Printer’s Alley: Located between 3rd & 4th Streets, this entertainment district was once the city’s printing industry and now is bustling with live music and speakeasy vibes.

  • 12 South: This walkable neighborhood near 12th Avenue offers an abundance of boutiques, coffee shops, and bakeries. Visit Reece Witherspoons store, Draper James, and get some Instagram-worthy pics in popular alleyways.

  • Opryland: If you’ve never been to the Grand Ole Opry, put this on your list! I remember watching the debut of Ashley McBride, now a Grammy award–winning artist, tell her story and sing on the iconic stage.

  • The Ryman Auditorium: Also known as the Church of Country Music, is a must-do! Learn about the soul of Nashville during a backstage or self-guided tour of this iconic place.

  • Johnny Cash Museum: Located near 3rd Avenue, this museum is full of memorabilia from the life of the famous Johnny Cash.

  • Nashville trolley tour: This screams tourist, but it is truly a great way to experience all the neighborhoods of Nashville! This hop-on-hop-off bus will stop at 13 destinations to give you a taste of what the city has to offer. Drive down Music Row, visit the whiskey distillery, and spend some time in open spaces near Centennial Park.

  • Bridestone Arena: Take in the feel of “Smashville” during a Preds game or attend a concert.

Places to eat & drink in Nashville

The Detroit Cowboy

  • Assembly Food Hall: Something for everyone and fun to walk through if you’re traveling with kids or looking for a quick bite before a Preds game!

  • Edleys BBQ: Many locations throughout town for the best authentic Nashville BBQ.

  • Twelve Thirty Club: The best margarita in town! Sit at the bar or in a cozy booth and enjoy a nice sit-down dinner.

  • The Detroit Cowboy: Owned by Kid Rock. See how Motor City and Music City collide while enjoying delicious dining. Reservations are recommended.

  • Mellow Mushroom: In the mood for pizza? This is the place for you.

  • Hampton Social: Enjoy the best brunch while taking in the views of the Nashville skyline.

  • Biscuit Love: Located in the Gulch. You have to visit this place for breakfast. The donuts are amazing!

  • Hattie B’s Hot Chicken: There’s usually a line, but for a good reason!

Need to know

The heart of downtown Nashville is a quick Uber away from the airport—no need for a rental car, as parking can be expensive at the hotels.

Looking for a more relaxing atmosphere? Consider visiting midweek, as Friday and Saturday evenings can get crowded.

Be sure to check to see if you need reservations for particular restaurants. As an advisor, this is where I can get you dialed into the best places.
