Weather: The Azores have mild, oceanic weather year-round, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s in winter to the mid-70s in summer. Expect a mix of sun, clouds, and occasional rain—often all in one day—so pack layers and a light rain jacket.
Transportation: Ponta Delgada is easy to navigate on foot, but renting a car is the best way to explore São Miguel’s hidden gems, scenic drives, and remote natural wonders at your own pace.
