Attractions & activities

  • Animal Flower Cave: The only accessible sea cave on the island. Descend into this unique geological wonder to see natural "windows" looking out to the Atlantic and swim in a natural rock pool.

  • Welchman Hall Gully: Walk through a beautiful, tranquil, and tropical gully that was once part of a plantation. This is one of the best places to spot the wild green monkeys at feeding time!

  • St. Nicholas Abbey & Steam Railway: A beautifully preserved 17th-century plantation house, rum distillery, and museum. Enjoy a scenic ride on the recently restored heritage steam railway through the mahogany woods.

  • Rum Distillery Tour (Mount Gay): Visit the estate of the world's oldest commercial rum distillery, dating back to 1703, to learn about the history of rum and enjoy a tasting.

  • Swim with the turtles: An unforgettable activity, most often done at Carlisle Bay, where you can snorkel in the clear water alongside gentle and beautiful sea turtles.

  • Harrison’s Cave: Explore the magnificent crystalline limestone cavern deep beneath the island on an electric tram, witnessing flowing streams, deep pools, and stunning stalactites.

  • Bridgetown: The historic capital city and UNESCO World Heritage site is the main hub for duty-free shopping, local street vendors, and markets.

  • Holders House Farmer Market (Sundays 9 am–2 pm): A vibrant weekly market known for its organic produce, artisan crafts, prepared foods, and a lively, community atmosphere.

  • Haymans Market: A popular market where you can find a variety of fresh produce, meats, fish, and local goods.

  • Oistins Fish Fry (Friday nights): More than just food, Friday night is the ultimate cultural street party, where you can find fresh seafood, cold drinks, live music, and dancing.

  • The Sage Bar & Stage: A great spot for live music, comedy, and theater, offering a sophisticated venue for evening entertainment.

  • Saint Lawrence Gap: The island’s main nightlife area, lined with restaurants, bars, and clubs for every taste.
