Curator’s statement
Nashville is one of the top travel destinations in the South, whether you are visiting for a bachelorette trip, coming to see a Tennessee Titans game, or just visiting with family to see the famous Broadway. Luckily, I was born and raised just 20 minutes north of Nashville, and have watched this city grow and bloom into what it is today. Nashville has so many hidden gems that you aren’t going to find in your basic Google search, which is where I come in as a travel advisor. Let me tell you all about my favorite things in Nashville.

Things to do in Nashville

The beautiful rooftop pool at the Virgin Hotel Nashville
Any sporting event
In Nashville, there is pretty much a professional sporting event of some sort going on at any time of the year! Whether it be a Tennessee Titans football game, Nashville Predators hockey game, Nashville Sounds baseball, or Nashville SC for a soccer game!
Any live music event
There are several music venues in Nashville where you can almost always catch a live show. One of the newest venues in Nashville is called the Pinnacle, and has multiple shows a week. If you want to see a show somewhere more Nashville to its core, I suggest going to the Ryman Auditorium or the Grand Ole Opry!
Cocktail-making class at The Liquor Lab
The Liquor Lab is a super fun, hands-on mixology experience in downtown Nashville where guests learn to make their own cocktails guided by expert bartenders.
Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Nature Park
Locals bike or walk here to escape the city—especially at sunset. It’s peaceful and doesn’t feel like downtown at all! For those who love the outdoorsy stuff!
Nashville Flea Market
Held monthly on the fourth weekend of each month, locals hunt for vintage finds, antiques, and weird treasures.
Nashville Yards
One of the newest developments in Nashville, offering multiple different things to do, whether you are wanting to play Pickleball with friends, see a concert at the Pinnacle, or grab a cocktail at one of the many bars or restaurants in the area.
Pool day
If you are in Nashville in the summer, definitely take advantage of one of the many hotel pools where you can purchase a day pass. A few pools to keep on your radar are the Drift Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Virgin Hotels Nashville, and Holston House.
Places to eat & drink in Nashville

Delicious tacos from Federales
Kore
Kore is an international tapas restaurant tucked away in East Nashville. They pride themselves in the pairing of phenomenal, international fusion cuisine with craft cocktails in a sophisticated, urban atmosphere.
If you go here, you must order the K-Pop Chicken and the Strawberry 5 Spice Margarita.
Federales
Federales is a beautifully designed tacos & tequila restaurant in the Gulch area of Nashville. They have one of the best open-air bars in town and an awesome happy hour Monday through Friday with $9 margaritas and $20 beer buckets (almost impossible to find in downtown Nashville). They also have a bottomless brunch Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. for $35 a person: all you can eat!
Make sure you order the queso and some ice shots to take with friends (if you know, you know).
Charmers
Charmers is a new bar in the up-and-coming Neuhoff district of Nashville. They have the most stunning location, with an outdoor bar overlooking the Cumberland River. They have really delicious and unique cocktails, and for the late-night cravings, you can grab a smashburger and some salt and vinegar curly fries.
Butterfly
Butterfly is a new rooftop restaurant in the Gulch, inside the W Hotel. Imagine tropical cocktails, vibrant design, and skyline views to die for.
Make sure to order the ceviche citricos and a spicy cucumber margarita!
Dino’s
Looking for a dive bar with the best burger in town? You will find it here at Dino’s! Dino’s has been open and serving Nashville since the 1970s, claiming the title of East Nashville’s oldest dive bar.
Stop in for a Dino’s Cheeseburger and some fries (but make sure to get them Joe’s Style!)
Dicey’s Pizza & Tavern
Dicey’s is in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood of Nashville, which over the last few years has really started to grow. Dicey’s has some of the best pizza in town!
Stop in for one of the local draft beers and order one of the specialty pizzas, like the chicken alla vodka!
Rosemary and the Beauty Queen
This is personally one of my favorite bars. Located unassumingly in a small yellow house in East Nashville, this bar has a huge personality. The interior and aesthetic is what keeps bringing me back, and not to mention the huge patio and backyard to enjoy a perfect summer cocktail. I always recommend this bar to anyone who has never been to Nashville.
The Authentique
The Authentique is a truly authentic French wine bar nestled in East Nashville. The owners of this beautiful wine bar grew up in France in the Champagne region, where their family owns and runs one of the largest bars for over 30 years. The atmosphere of this bar is absolutely perfect. Make sure to order one of the delicious boards they offer while you are there.
51st Deli
51st Deli is an OG staple in the Nashville community. Given the name, the deli is located in the Nations neighborhood on 51st Ave. Part convenience store, part deli—you can order anything from a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel to hot chicken fries. One of my personal favorite things to order is the chicken caesar wrap. Everything here is customizable, down to the dipping sauces. It’s the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch on the go.
Monday Night Brewing
Monday Night Brewing is located in the Neuhoff district on the Cumberland River. This is a beautiful, very large brewery with a big patio and lots of beers on tap.
Neighborlily
Neighborlily is an adorable coffee and cocktail bar located in Germantown. They just recently reopened under this new concept, and it is absolutely perfect! It’s located in an older house that has been perfectly designed on the inside, with dark charm and warm colors. Whether you want a specialty latte or an espresso martini, this is the place for you!
Need to know
I could go on and on with all sorts of recommendations for Nashville, whether it be the perfect cocktail at a rooftop bar, or a delicious breakfast sandwich from the local deli. There is so much more to Nashville than just Broadway, and I want to share that with as many people as possible.
