Need to know

Visiting San Francisco? Start by downloading the Clipper Card app, the easiest way to ride public transit including buses, BART, ferries, and the iconic cable cars. While exploring the city, try Waymo for a unique experience with safe and fully driverless rides. Be sure to dress in layers since the fog and ocean breeze can make it surprisingly chilly, even in summer. Comfortable shoes are essential as the city’s hills and sidewalks invite plenty of walking. Despite what you may have heard, San Francisco in 2025 is vibrant, beautiful, and full of charm for those who take the time to explore it.
