Curator’s statement

Paris has always been a bucket list destination for me. Going in the spring while everything was blooming was what I had pictured, but with family schedules, it fell in the winter. The most romantic city in the world is even more magical when snow is falling.

Things to do in Paris, France

The image captures the iconic Eiffel Tower at with an orange hued sky at dusk with a tourist boat on the Seine River in Paris.
  • Big Red Bus Tours: This is a quick way to get your bearings on the city. We did this first thing to get oriented.

  • The Louvre: This may seem obvious, but you can't leave Paris without seeing the Mona Lisa in person.

  • Cruise the Seine: Dinner at night on the Seine is an out-of-this-world experience!

  • Eiffel Tower: When we were up on the Eiffel Tower, we got a weather alert that it was going to snow. This in particular made my time in Paris more than I ever thought it could be.

  • Notre Dame: Even though it is still under construction, it is beautiful to see!

  • Walk along the Champs Elysees to see the beautiful shops... and maybe bring home something fancy!! After all, it's cheaper to shop luxury in Paris with VAT refund.

  • Visit Montmartre: The architecture is unlike anything I've ever seen, and the artists pop-up stands provide an amazing opportunity for a little piece of Paris to come home with you.

  • Visit a Christmas Market: Jardin de Tuileries happens to be open even after Christmas. It felt like my own Hallmark movie!

Places to eat & drink in Paris, France

The image showcases a picturesque street corner in Montmartre, Paris, adorned with lush greenery and bathed in the warm glow of a sunset.
  • Chez Francis: If you're lucky, you can sit outside with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

  • Bistrot de Sommelier for some fantastic wine tasting!

  • Cafe de la Comedie is a perfect French breakfast before some sightseeing!

  • Hyatt Regency Windo Rooftop Bar is THE place for a nightcap!

  • La Coupole is a great choice if you're craving some oysters!

  • La Maison Rose is a picture perfect Parisian restaurant in Montmartre.

  • Chez Andre is great if you're feeling Parisian and want to try some escargot. It may be right across from a very popular restaurant (with an extensive wait list) but, it was better and more traditional Paris.
