Curator’s statement
Seville swept me into its rhythm from the moment I arrived. I visited during Feria de Abril, a great time to visit, when the city bursts into color, music, and tradition—an experience that felt like stepping into a live painting. Each night we went out to "tapeando," hopping from one tapas bar to another, savoring the flavors of Andalusia like locals. My favorite was a great little corner bar called Los Hijos de E. Morales. Between flamenco at Baraka Sala and strolling through the neighborhood of La Judería, Seville offered a soulful blend of history, artistry, and joy that left a lasting imprint.

Things to do in Seville

Palacio Andaluz has one of the best tablaos in Seville.
Explore the Real Alcázar: A stunning palace complex with lush gardens and intricate Moorish architecture. It’s like walking through centuries of Spanish history.
Visit the Seville Cathedral: One of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, with awe-inspiring interiors and the final resting place of Christopher Columbus.
Stroll through La Judería: The old Jewish quarter is a maze of narrow lanes, flower-filled balconies, and hidden courtyards—perfect for slow wandering.
Experience flamenco at Palacio Andaluz: An intimate tablao where the passion and power of flamenco come alive in every stomp and strum.
Relax at Plaza de España: A grand semicircular plaza with tiled alcoves, surrounded by peaceful gardens and fountains.
Climb La Giralda Tower: The former minaret turned bell tower offers panoramic views of Seville’s rooftops and orange-scented streets.
Browse Mercado de Triana: A lively market across the river where locals shop for fresh produce, jamón, and Andalusian specialties.
Places to eat & drink in Seville

Tiny tables, bold flavors—Seville’s rhythm plated in bites.
La Bartola: A cozy, modern tapas bar with inventive dishes and warm service—perfect for a casual night out.
Bar Alfalfa: A local favorite with rustic charm and standout tapas like salmorejo and goat cheese toasts.
Merchant Sevilla: A lively pub-style spot with hearty fare and a great vibe for late-night drinks.
Bar Las Golondrinas Triana: Known for its garlic mushrooms and, my favorite, alioli potatoes, this Triana institution is a must for authentic tapas.
