Curator’s statement
I love Walt Disney World because it transports you and your family to a magical place. When we are there, we are fully immersed in the Disney experience. One day we are eating a meal in the gorgeous Disney castle, the next we are on an African Safari. We forge our way through a galaxy far, far away and we eat and drink our way around the world.

Things to do at Disney World

Our group participated in the lightsaber building experience which took you inside the world of Star Wars.
Magic Kingdom
When we are at the Magic Kingdom Park, we like to ride the rides. Some of our favorites are Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion.
We also love the fireworks display at the end of the night.
Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, our favorite place to be is Galaxy’s Edge, where we can build authentic light sabers and droids.
Another thing we like to see is the Indiana Jones Stunt Show.
Epcot Center
While at Epcot Center, our favorite thing to do is visit all of the countries in World Showcase and sample the food and drink.
Our new favorite attraction is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, a thrilling ride experience.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is so much more than a zoo. Our favorite experience is the Kilimanjaro Safari.
We also enjoy the Lion King live show and the immersive world of Avatar.
Places to eat & drink at Disney World

Enjoying a meal in outer space!
Eating at Disney is its own experience. In order to eat at a restaurant within a Disney park, you must have tickets to the park for that day. But Disney has plenty of delicious dining experiences outside of the parks. You can eat at Disney Springs or any of the Resorts. You do not have to be staying at the resort to eat there. Here are some of my favorites.
Liberty Tree Tavern is at Magic Kingdom Park and serves up an exquisite family style Thanksgiving-type meal.
A whole-family favorite is Chef Mickey at the Contemporary Resort. This is a buffet-style character meal. The original Disney characters come and greet you at your table.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios takes you back in time. The booths are set up to look like 1950s cars, all facing a huge drive-in movie screen.
Tusker House at Animal Kingdom Park is another buffet-style character meal, but it is safari-themed with American and African food choices.
Space 220 is a highly coveted reservation at Epcot Center. You start your culinary adventure by taking an elevator to a space station orbiting the Earth high above Disney World. With amazing views of outer space and space-themed dishes, the is one of out favorite Epcot dining experiences.
Raglan Road is my favorite Disney Springs restaurant. This Irish-themed restaurant has a variety of Irish and American choices as well as live entertainment in the form of authentic Irish dancers.
For a super fun sweet treat, head over to Beaches and Cream at Beach Club Resort. Here you will find a full menu of options, but you will want to save room for dessert. The specialty here is Mickey’s Kitchen Sink. This is a shareable many scooped ice cream sundae with a take-home Mickey sink-shaped bowl. There are also smaller mini-sinks with bowls you can take home as well.
If you are taking a little prince or princess, Cinderella's Royal Table is a must-do. You eat inside the Disney castle and are visited by all of the original Disney princesses while you eat.
There are so many more amazing dining experiences. They can very much be tailored to your family's specific desires.
Need to know
Disney can be super overwhelming. I have been there four times in the last four years. I have been twice with a multi-generational group with age ranges spanning from 7–68. I have also been on two adults-only quick trips.
I can help you navigate all of the planning, including the platform they use to schedule rides!
